Crap week, have no energy so have taken to my bed early the last 2 nights. We have had a union meeting tonight with our local rep there. Seems our boss is actually taking the pi$$ with all the things she is asking us to do, Made us all feel a bit more united and made me feel better that it is not just me as lots of experienced teachers are also fed up too. I am mentoring a trainee teacher and am finding it hard to be positive about being a teacher at the moment so I hope I am not putting her off. I became a teacher as I love my subject and want to help other kids learn it and enjoy it too. Schools just seem to be results factories nowdays. Sexymouse good luck for tomorrow but please please please contact your union before you resign. It sounds as if you are so committed and are doing exactly what you should be and have the kids best interests at heart, exactly what a good teacher should be like. Despite my rant above I have had a great career so far. I love being with kids, they make me howl, my job is never samey and I do genuinely love doing it. I just wish I could be left in peace to get on with it instead of feeling like I am being spied upon all the time.
Seems like many of us are being affected by the horrible weather, think it's my fault as I bought a lovely new waterproof coat yesterday but didnt put it on today and got soaked:rotfl:
special hugs to lady l and toots
piggers glad op went well
rosepink sorry hubby having a $hitty evening:rotfl: My hubby booked a week off at half term and spent most of it on the loo unfortunately. Lots of bugs around. Could you hire someone to do your oven for you? My firend swears by her oven man, I am too tight to pay for it but if it will make you feel better and you would struggle then maybe it would be worth the cash. Was a bit worried about your story the other day with the man in council house with 2 millionaire offspring, please dont be taken in, sounds a bit dodgy to me.
soappie good luck vibes

Anyway, today I managed to clean bathroom and make a start on bedroom! Will try and get all level done this week and more or less on target!!

Hello all
First post since Tuesday as I had GB last night and was only just home from work in time, and tonight stayed late at work to get on top of my to do list (I wish!) so didn't get home til about 8.15. Nasty evening here, and looks like it will also be tomorrow, typical as I have a rare outdoor engagement at 10am.
Tried to chat to MiL about wanting to stop doing GB (it was only ever meant to be temporary) as i find it too much after work and commuting and don't really enjoy it, plus I am going to start doing a bit more stuff in my new church. It didn't go down well but I think it's the right thing.
DH is off tomorrow so I'll probably just go in in time for my 10am meeting, bit of a lie in will be nice! I can walk there from canary wharf in about 15 mins so can fit a bit extra exercise in too!
greenbee - welcome back, think we may've gone past where you work last week when we nipped off the thames path
rose - poor DH, I can sympathise, though it's not quite so bad with me, but when I need to go I really need to! Worth keeping a note of what he's eating and when it happens as it may be an intolerance and should be checked out...
sexy - big hugs to you, well done for sticking with it. I think everyone is right and you have a definite case for constructive dismissal. Make sure you get onto the union if you haven't yet.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
