Went to the doctor's tonight, and she was lovely. I told her what was going on and she would've been happy to sign me off from work for 2 weeks starting tomorrow, but I told her that it may be better if I went in tomorrow for my observation, as then it wouldn't be waiting for me when I went back. Also didn't want to let the children down as have a class trip on Wednesday, that I'm also actually looking forward to as I get out of school for whole day! I've been prescribed anti-anxiety/depressant medication and sleeping tablets to help me get a good night's sleep (10 days worth of those) and she said if at any point I change my mind about being signed off, she'll do it for me straight away. I'm going to go back and see her at the end of November to see how I'm getting on with the medication and see if we need to review anything. Spoke to colleague and she's been to doctor too and got a low dosage stress relieving medication that can be taken just on the days you feel most stressed. Mine is actual depression though I think as I've been diagnosed in the past. Will try to call teacher's counselling tonight to find out my rights about resigning early if need be.

Thank you so much for all of your support on here - it really does help knowing that I have such good friends that I can go to at any time of the day or night, and thank you also to pigpen for being so understanding about my off-topic posts. I'll try not to post so regularly unless I've got flying to announce, but wanted to fill you all in on what's happening. Lesson observation is at 11am-12 now as they've changed our lessons around.

    sexymouse xx

I am glad the doctor was supportive and understanding.. remember she is also on your side to put a case across as to how this has made you ill.

You cannot keep this to yourself and as we are your friends and care abotu you it is a very good place to offload these feelings.. plus there a lot of people here who can offer you constructive advice. Plus you will have done flying without realising it! .. every pot washed is a fly-thing.. :p

Fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow.. and regardless of the outcme make sure you follow it up with the union. If they treat you like this this year who is to say they will not treat some other poor individual he same next year?

Good luck babes.. we all know you can do this stuff one handed.. ((((hugs))))

  • DH's clothes are dirty, he didn't make it to the bathroom in time, that's what I meant when I said he was ill. He's home now and has put his things in the washing machine - should I just do it on a hot wash? It's suit trousers (can be machine washed) and pants and possibly tail of his shirt (I've not looked). Would you just wash them as normal or what?

Poor thing, he has to go staight away when he needs the loo, and I've always been quite amused before at him running to the loo but now am realising how serious it is! He's all shaky and quiet and has gone and got in the bath

Pigpen's made a very good point... someone needs to make a stand against these people and not let them keep on bullying everyone. I know it isn't something you'll feel comfortable doing, but you do need to make a stand, not just for yourself but for everyone who has already been through it and those who come after you - many of whom will be younger and less experienced.

Try to think of yourself as an advocate for the underdog. You know you're good at what you do, and you know you're being victimised, so you need to stand up for yourself ((((hugs)))). You can collapse and vent here...

Can't face laundry - main suitcase is still locked :o and not unpacked! Post has been dealt with although not filed, and I keep falling asleep at my desk (I've been doing some work admin and have managed to lock myself out of my corporate credit card account ).

I'm going to have a bath before bed, and I need to make myself some nice fresh hot water bottles.

ETA - rose - I'd rinse everything under running water first, and wash it on a cool wash. If this is a regular problem, then get him to see your GP as it sounds like there might be an underlying problem, and it must be very upsetting for him, so needs sorting out.

He's ok thanks, is in the bath and much less embarrassed now we've talked and had a laugh about it. Thanks for asking. You are doing really well with your flying! It's really nice seeing all these new ones coming and joining in and doing so well!

Will put the WM on when DH's out of bath, so I can put his towels in too
