Oops.. I was a touch on the tired side.. then crashed for 1.5 hours!!!!!!
Suffice to say the landing still needs claring of carp before the carpet fitters come in the morning..
Best go feed the children and get them to bed.. it is the 6th form open evening at the girls high school.. why now when they don't enrol until the first week in september I have no idea it just seems ludicrous to me... XH won't go with DD1 and I am just absolutely exhausted so she is going with a friend.. it isn't that important I shouldn't think.. it is attached to the school she is at now with the same staff and expectations and rules etc so I can't see why it is necessary. The proper 6th form colleges have open days on weekends and they do a couple of evenings but not until after easter.
best do food..

Well this flylady is working - dh was amazed how tidy it all was when he got back.
I know the list doesn't look great - but it took me two hours to declutter the floor in the playroom and it's nearly there. There is too much furniture in there so we will be getting rid of a desk, 2 chairs and a table (only leaving a sofabed, a baby grand, a table, 3 cupboards, a storage unit and 2 bookcases:D). One terrible chair has already gone for recycling!!! |And the bathroom got a clean and declutter and I did HHI so I'm pretty chuffed.

Does he sleep on the plane, or just work straight through the flight?

We have been having a fun hour here, DS & I, making
Chicken pie for me & DH later
Prepped veg to go with pie
Cheese scones
Chicken stock cooking - after long conversations about what you do eat & not eat on a chicken (and I think he now knows where various bits are - which was not what he thought!) has been very funny as 7 year olds can be a bit serious about insides and middles!)
He's now scoffing his tea and then we're making banana cakes and the kitchen smells fab!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Anyone not sure what to put in boxes are coming in needing topping up with sweets and they are short of boxes for older children (9+ and teenagers).
She says she might go again! They were sorting boxes for Belarus and the next batch will be for Liberia, in case you're interested to know where they go!

Hiya
No lists completed today but I haven't stopped. Working, studying, driving my children and a million other children to after school stuff, library, parents, shopping....just a normal day!
I popped on to see how the swine flu jab people were doing....i've got mine on Saturday morning and then i'm working for the rest of the day so i'm hoping my arm doesn't get too sore straight away. I'm having the normal flu jab at the same so i'm expecting to feel a bit carp on Sunday but DH is home so I've got some books from the library and i'm going to make the most of it. I just KNOW I won't feel like doing anything at all on Sunday:D.
Off to study so I can declutter some more notes and then i'm working again.
Hugs to you all xx0 -
Been to friend's, cake was a big success, it was all eaten
First lot of mix went wrong when the scales went a bit funny so I had to guesstmate some amounts as I had mixed everything already when I realised there was way too much flour. Anyway that batch was done as wee buns for us.
I am just going to ice them now while lasagne in the oven cooking.
Before school earlier I also:
- opened up the ton of mail that came in today and filed in appropriate piles
- cleaned out cupboard where mixer lives
- washed up baking things
- moved a few more old school books (yes, yes, I know) into box of books for the loft.
- moved photo stuff into cupboard in spare room thus clearing alcove a little bit
- got bag of stuff ready to take babysitting tonight
Now also need to tidy kitchen, its a bit of a state AGAIN, got lunch boxes to unpack and clean, general clutter to clear away, school bags to sort out, and very wet coats to hang on radiators, its POURING here
