DK I a dehumidifier too. It is fantastic at dealing with condensation. I have to remember to make sure all loo seats are down and doors to bathrooms are closed so we don't spend all our electricity dehumidifying the loo!! DSs just need reminding sometimes. I usually put it in the hall and leave doors to other rooms open.
It is expensive to run so I try to put it on during economy seven time whenever appropriate.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Well, not too bad...washed,dried and put away dishes, put pie in the oven, wiped surfaces, pu bedding in TD, put lice spray on DD's hair, changed towel in the bathroom and cleaned up garden.
Nothing off the list though!!!!0 -
Pie is taking ages and I don't want to put the hoover round till after DD eats.....
What to do instead.....0 -
CBA to go outside to go shopping... I'll deal with it tomorrow morning (along with the laundry, housework etc before my parents arrive).
Think I'd better find a book and have a nice long soak in the bath.
Actually... thinking about it, I should eat first. If I don't, I won't get round to eating this evening!0 -

Thanks for that - are they big and are they noisy and do you just need them on for some of the time?
Hope you get the leak fixed ok and that your arm is not hurting too much x
I'm almost finished in the family room - just 15 minutes to do and then I'll start the dinner. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

ajmoney, It sounds like you have a tricky one there. I have had days out like that with kids (teenagers) and you just have to do your best with them. Hopefully the next time will be easier for you. Not what you needed today, I know. Hugs.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Our dehumidifier is about 70cm tall x 40 x 40. It makes a low rumbling noise. Not too bad and we don't need it on all the time.
My arm is okay thanks. I wonder how all the other flu jab people are this afternoon.
I have been told to expect a big come down and lethargy tomorrow as I have stopped the steroids. Hospital tomorrow so I won't be doing much flying.:D:Dbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

They come in different sizes, some have more capacity than others, some are easier to empty than others... they can be plumbed in if you have a real problem. I really only use mine in the period where the house doesn't need heating, but it isn't warm enough to stay dry, and when I'm away and the heating is off. Once the house has dried out, it seems to stay that way if it is kept warm.
Hopefully, when I get my patio sorted out (it needs lowering below the level of the damp course) the house will be drier.
As for cost - check the rating on them when you look at them and you should be able to work it out. Mines 200 watts, so if I leave it on for 5 hours it uses 1 unit of electricity.0 -
Toots - I've finished Thursday! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
