Just imagine how good your job application will be when you prepare it on a fabulously tidy and clean desk - it'll get you in the right frame of mind! Taken anything for the headache yet??

Sad to say that I never got round to attacking the desk:o. I did scrub and mop the bathroom floor, polish lounge bits, do a bit of decluttering in the lounge, worked my way down the wash-basket as far as miscellaneous odd socks, winter scarves and gloves though - so certainly making some headway towards a clean if not particularly tidy home.;)

Thursday ~ Bathroom but sadly not the study..
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter floors
Clean bath, loo, shower.. etc etc.. you get the idea.[/STRIKE]
    .
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Mop/ vaccum floors (SCRUBBED to get that deep-clean feeling)
    [/STRIKE]
Wipe the desk keyboard monitor etc..
Pull out the desk and clean under and behind.. :D
    15 minutes filing
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Clean doors
    [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Empty and wash out bins
    Clean radiators/fires in these rooms[/STRIKE]

    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]Wash windows and sills [/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]
    3. Decant dribbles from bottles into fuller ones and bin those empties
    4. [/STRIKE]Wipe over sofas & chairs in these rooms
    5. [STRIKE]Clean paintwork [/STRIKE]
Also de-webbed and cleaned all the dust off the shower curtain rail, plus washing off all the bottles before putting them back.
Then made some chocolate fairy cakes in time to take in for when I picked my boys up from school. Mummy points - shortlived!

Thanks to everyone who was asking after my headache. It's resurfaced. Very strange - a really localised pain, like someone tapping a nail into a nerve now and again.

Greenbee, welcome back, glad you got home without incident :D

Pigpen, really pleased operation went ok.

Sorry head like a sieve today, having difficulty recalling stuff.:o

Had HR meeting this morning, starting back next week pending a fit for work letter from my GP which I MUST sort out tomorrow or monday.

Visited my friend, whose had her kidney removed, for an hour or so and came home shattered. Been on the phone a lot today, work related, which is good in a way because I'm getting back into the zone.

Need to get on with tea. DD1 has been to Connexions today and has a list of agencies to sign up with for a job .......she's decided she wants a job until she starts back at college next september!

Whilst I'm trying to remain hopeful and positive...it's hard...I really think she will struggle but we'll wait and see.

Flying wise, I've done nothing except put some rubbish from my car into a bag.:D

Off to see what to make for tea and then I'll be back later.

Incidently, I too am a Call of Duty Modern Warfare widow at the mo, had to 'commiserate' over the last few nights as he keeps getting 'shot'!!

You decide how noisy as you can alter fan speed, you can have it on as and when, but they recommend you run it constantly for a week or two at first. Ours has a programme where the humidistat controls it, so it comes on at humidity more than 55%...its supposed to be between 50 and 60%.
    ebac 2850e and £154.

You've got a proper one! I've got a cheap one, so I can't alter the fan or the humidity. Yours sounds much better. Don't forget to clean the filters!

Have a look here... it might help.
  • This is just too hopeless. I made a good start, had plans to get my 4th start this week:A, then school rang and I had to collect DD  poor wee thing has been absolutely fine with me all day, but of course, I have achieved next to nothing.

Went to the doctor's tonight, and she was lovely. I told her what was going on and she would've been happy to sign me off from work for 2 weeks starting tomorrow, but I told her that it may be better if I went in tomorrow for my observation, as then it wouldn't be waiting for me when I went back. Also didn't want to let the children down as have a class trip on Wednesday, that I'm also actually looking forward to as I get out of school for whole day! I've been prescribed anti-anxiety/depressant medication and sleeping tablets to help me get a good night's sleep (10 days worth of those) and she said if at any point I change my mind about being signed off, she'll do it for me straight away. I'm going to go back and see her at the end of November to see how I'm getting on with the medication and see if we need to review anything. Spoke to colleague and she's been to doctor too and got a low dosage stress relieving medication that can be taken just on the days you feel most stressed. Mine is actual depression though I think as I've been diagnosed in the past. Will try to call teacher's counselling tonight to find out my rights about resigning early if need be.

Thank you so much for all of your support on here - it really does help knowing that I have such good friends that I can go to at any time of the day or night, and thank you also to pigpen for being so understanding about my off-topic posts. I'll try not to post so regularly unless I've got flying to announce, but wanted to fill you all in on what's happening. Lesson observation is at 11am-12 now as they've changed our lessons around.

I'm glad your GP was sympathetic, and hopefully you'll get the support you need. We'll be thinking about you tomorrow.

Don't forget, that you are now covered by DDA legislation - although even without this it looks as if you have a strong case for constructive dismissal.

Let us know how it goes tomorrow.

Hugs Sexy, glad the doc was so understanding, it can make such a difference. If you have to leave early wouldn't that count as constructive dismissal? (Great minds Greenbee!) In a way, I'm glad that your colleague is struggling too as you are not alone, someone else is going through the same things and hopefully you can support each other if you do decide to take things further. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

DH just phoned, he was on his way to the meeting but was ill on the way and is coming home again. I've just run him a bath. Poor thing, he sounded really shaky on the phone. Hope he's ok and drives carefully, it's a really nasty night out there
