    Hiya
Thank you all so very very much for all of the support you've shown me. It really does help.

My mind is all over the place, I've been having a weepy day. I've filled in the special circumstances form today for my bit of coursework thats due in, I rang up to ask what proof I need, and they asked for my mum to write a letter. I explained very politely that a. I'm 19 and have not had a note from my mummy for anything for a long time and b. my mum has just become a widow and single parent so NO i will not be asking her to write a letter telling university that I was off because dad died. I will send a photocopy of the death certificate. Other than that, and one of my tutors this morning (who has been informed) asking my best friend where I was and if I was ill again, the uni have actually been great. I'm going back to class tomorrow, the longer i wait the harder it will be.

Quillion the poem you posted was absolutely beautiful, it had me in floods (although that's not taking much). The one I nearly managed to read at dad's funeral was called A Daddy's Love (by Leah Wells for you nosy ones to google :p). I haven't had any roses appear, but as we arrived at the graveside for the funeral, a rainbow came out and it stopped raining. For anyone from the North East, we buried him at the woodland cemetery in Hexham where his parents are, and it's just the most beautiful, peaceful place.

I just don't know how to cope with this. My boyfriend was going to ask Dad for permission to propose at Christmas. My little brother is just 16. Dad was only 50. I miss him.

  • Hi everybody!!

I hope you don't mind if I join in? Had sinus surgery about 4 weeks ago and the house work has got rather behind! Need to get back into things gradually so thought I would join you for next few weeks to get the house back in order! My plan is to start on level 1 this week, then two next and three the week after!

Hope that is ok? So just off to attack the kitchen x x

I know it may be a bit raw just now to think about, but why not suggest you go to Dad's grave or special place and ask him?
Hope I am not speaking out of turn:A:kisses3:

  • Carol :grouphug:for u & your family. It takes time to get over the death of a loved one - allow yourself to grieve. My Dad died 8 years ago & I still cry sometimes when certain memories get jogged. (like when I read Quillions
    poem).

Monday~ Kitchen of Grot and Dining Room of Gloom
    Level One
    Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors

Got to cust DH's hair later so will do the floor after that.
