Hi everyone. Hope no one has suffered because of the storms. It was raining here this morning but not for long. Have done quite a bit today. I have a busy week and the kitchen is being decorated on Thursday. Went for a walk after lunch down the woods. I have not been down these ones before and they are so near me. My friend who has a dog told me about them and that the council had laid paths. I really enjoyed it and found a lake. A man sitting there told me there is deer and lots of wildlife. Glad I had my walking boots on as some parts were very muddy.

    Have hoovered upstairs and down.
    2 loads of washing done
    Clean washing put away.
    Shredding done.
    Living room tidied.

Soapie Glad to hear your nose is ok.
lil_me Glad to hear Mathew is ok. Well done your DS1 :T You have a PM.

    Please, call me Potty :D

Love your avvie, btw .... very cute :D

OK Potty, thank you about the avvie, that's my Beffy Boo - the one who headbutted my nose yesterday (which is much improved thank you all).

She's now fast asleep on the settee because I dragged her out for 1.5 hours delivering leaflets! It wasn't one of my wisest moves and I won't take her again when I do the rest. She spotted every cat in every garden and slowed me up terrifically!

    - that's top news about little M.

Rach - can't help you with the cereal bowls - unless there's a pottery cafe somewhere near you where you could paint your own?

I had wondered that, it's a possibility but i'm not all that artistic, if they were for girls would be ok, I can do flowers! but much harder for boys!!

Now there's a lovely idea....I wonder if I could find one nearby their house and take him. I could do a kind of voucher for his birthday to say we'll go. I don't see half enough of him these days so it would be a lovely thing to do. He's 6 so big enough to do a nice job!

greenbee - hope the gardening is going ok, doesn't look like you've been on...what's the name of those bags again? Had a look in alders today but couldn't remember and there wasn't anything similar there!
Gardening has gone well thanks. This is the website for the bags - you could try asking them for a list of stockists. Or do some googling as there are online suppliers too...

Dog walked (it was getting dark so I felt safe to go... luckily she's highly trained and always disappears into thick undergrowth where everything will wash away/biodegrade).

Hall/kitchen/utility/stairs hoovered, DW filled and set off. Next week will need a deep clean of pretty much the whole house  plus a bit of freecycling if I have the energy.

Just going to have a quick shower, then a cup of tea (the dog has to have food at tea time during the winter, or she gets too thin... at least, that's what my dad tells me, personally I think she's spoilt!), and then start getting things sorted out for supper (roast chicken, roast veg etc) so that we don't eat too late.

    rach - http://www.chinabeasts.com/default.asp - but they don't look like a cheap option.

My day turned out rather differently to planned - phone call at 11am to say DS2 had hurt his shoulder at rugby. Rushed over there, to find him in an ambulance, and followed to the hospital - he'd dislocated his shoulder. Hours of waiting, x-rays, painkillers, manipulation, more x-rays...then home at 3.30. He's okay now, has another appointment for tomorrow, which I think OH will have to do, and then off sports for six weeks.

Consequently, I still haven't finished my planning.... but I'm going to do some right now! If all else fails on Thursday, they'll have to watch a DVD!!
