Congrats sexymouse! And the fact that the kids made such an effort for you says more than anything else. I'd still talk to the union though, and make sure you have a record of your treatment/the issues in case it comes in handy in future.

    Well done to soappie too!

embb - can't you tell the council you want to buy the house now rather than wait, and take off the cost of doing the work from what you'll offer? That way at least you can get what YOU want done, the way you want (i.e. properly) and by the people you want. It may take longer to get the work done, as you'll have to save for it each time, but at least it'll be exactly as you want it (and you'll have bought it before they change the rules.

Parents here - my mum has done the ironing but we haven't managed to get much gardening done as the weather is filthy!! My brother is windsurfing tomorrow, and we'll probably do the gardening on Sunday when things have improved. I might have to find some indoor jobs for my dad... my mum has already cleared the ironing pile :D (I must wash my bedding so she has time to iron it before she goes ;))

Off to feed them and hopefully have an early night!

Hope no one gets blown or washed away...

Can I ask a favour of everyone? Has anyone on here had glandular fever? I've finally gone to see the Dr and he has given a provisional diagnosis of glandular fever, although he thinks a blood test will prove it. So after getting wet I also gave blood..ugh!! Should have the result back early next week. Why is it one thing after another, and here's me thinking it was just flu..ugh!!!

I had it a few months back.. once the initial symptoms had gone it took another month or 2 to stop feeling totally exhausted.

Not decided yet but a few packs of crisps and some chocolate may help me decide! :p
