 Slightly concerned that the man on BBC News giving warnings about storms and flooding was reporting from Portsmouth Harbour

If he was still standing, then at least you know it's not too bad yet! It certainly sounds pretty wild outside here. Rose is right... don't go out unless you have to!

I know I've missed messages to lots of you (good thing Toots is here to make up for it really!), but I have been thinking of you.

soappie - great news on the job
carol - toots is right, they'd be mad not to have you... and I've seen your CV ;). Keep an eye out for other things though, as there might be something else that you fancy.
froddy - great news that the tests were clear. Hope you get yourself sorted soon
Natty - sorry to hear about the glandular fever. Please REST and look after yourself (and try to do it better than toots & triker do :p)
Toots - I'm glad you're being sensible about rest for a change. Has anyone come up with any suggestions re the infection? Are you allowed to clean the wound site yourself?

(((hugs))) all round. Hope you don't get blown away...

Hope you are all ok re the weather ,its really calm here.....sorry.

Not posting much at the moment as having loads of problems with Ds1 and LOs excema no matter what i do it isnt improving...Lo seems worse....has really been getting me down I have been in tears a few times about it ....really unlike me but cant seem to pull myself up..

Even managed to have a row with OH and he is in Berlin he wants us to go away for 4 days at the beginning of December but I am scared to leave the boys as there is no one else to do their wraps (and I mean no one) and LO is a terrible sleeper due to Excema last night he was awake for 5 hours, he went to bed at 10pm woke at 1.30am and didnt go back to sleep till 6am:eek::eek: I have to be up with the kids at 7.15 .......I cant see anyone else coping with that. Also I have never left any of them before ,not overnight and I dont think LO will cope.....

    :j:jBATHROOM DONE TOOTS:j:j

Very wet and windy here too. We were hoping to walk the next stretch of the Thames path tomorrow but not sure we will. I'm shattered too and more than a little achy after I took a little tumble in the park today  think I'll be rather bruised tomorrow!

DH wants the laptop now so I'll go to bed i think.

Miss H - just saw your post from last night. Hope the studying went well. I've still got one assignment left to do so will try and get that done on Sunday when i'm refusing to get out of bed because the swine flu jab has got me (i'm planning a really lazy day so i'm just hoping I can enjoy it!!) xx

Just back from the theatre with DH, DD and Godson - had a great time, and came back to hot chocolate sponge and cocoa! *What a night*!!!!!! It is wild out there, and flooded quite deep in places.... Took the drive back *very* steadily....

I am so pleased I did my porch earlier today - the pots, rubbish, compost bag and wellies would have been half way up the apple trees I reckon by now!!!

Me avoid DD's room, Toots? :p What a thought!

No: it's just that although loads of rooms are looking OK now around the house, there are still areas I really haven't touched... . It seems wrong somehow to go over areas which are pretty angelic when there is so much that is still letting the side down.... HONEST ....:A:rotfl:

Mudbath: my writing went pretty well today and I have about 1/3 left. Am meeting up with my colleague sometime next week, though, so need to get my skates on..... Bumped into him at the theatre tonight and waved my hands vaguely to describe how far I had got... SF jab not too bad for me tonight; just a bit sore. Good idea of yours about staying in bed on Sunday though.... may yet have a relapse....;)

(Sorry yours is giving you so much bother, Toots.)

Sexymouse Just fabulous. :T:T:T Are you through now?

Love to all, especially all those who are ill or plagued by BD.

pigpen well done with all the flinging - hows the carpet? And 3 Stars:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

The carpet is fabulous.. it has already made a big difference to the temperature in the whole house!
The replaced catflap has made a big difference in the kitchen too and I can't wait to get my new windows in and the blinds up :D

I need to find a list for tomorrow

I want to get some of the childrens clothes sorted.. I have already started another bag for nursery!

It is looking more like my house did at the beginning of the year now! and I have the landing to use as a 'sorting' area now all the junk has been removed. I am hoping to get some of my millions of photographs up soon.. it will look like an art gallery :D

I would like to get the painting done in the hall, stairs and landings before my windows go in as I then have the kitchen to repaint and get my new blinds up before Christmas!

    Me?! ambitious? nah... lol

Amazing how not having the pressure and disorder of uni weighing me down I can suddenly see through the fog to getting the house finally habitable!

    Morning ladies!

Jinky my lil friend - smooch.gif Feel better soon and hope the packing is getting done!
Toots and fedup and rosepink - hugs.gif
Carol - well done for finishing and now you can proof read it one more time
LadyL - kiss.gif Lovely to talk to you today as ever, hope you got some sleep.
Sexymouse - yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyHSstars.gifThat is great news!
Ajmoney - big hugs for you hon
    Jill - a computer from Poland..giggle.gif
Scotrae - Muffins are definitely on the list for baking on Weds! Recipe sounds really easy.
Dusty - my cat Treacle has taken to sitting in front of the heater in the office and just staring at it, with occasional pitiful meows til we plug it in. It's one that only costs about 3p an hour to run so I don't mind too much but I do sometimes really see how the old adage about Dogs having owners and Cats having staff applies!

Not posting a list cos we are driving to Exeter to drop in a birthday card for my nephew in the hope my Mum will give it to him. I know for sure his mum will just throw it away but my Mum despite her faults wouldn't do that I don't think.

I hope you all have a great start to the weekend

    Morning All

I've been awake since 3 so feeling pretty shattered but hey. My plan for today is to try and finish the downstairs off. We may go to the church Christmas fair as well I'll see what the kids want to do later - they weren't very happy with me last night because we didn't go to the lights' switch on as it was pouring down.

Sexy - that's fantastic news - well done.

Soappie - good news for you too - knew you wouldn't have time to get bored!

    Have a good day all
