After I got my feedback I came in after lunch and told them I passed, and they all cheered! Then, one of the naughtiest boys in my class came up to me, and said "Do you know what? We did it for you!" (I nearly cried at that point.)

I'm not surprised you nearly cried. I almost made my keyboard wet reading that - Well done you! Enjoy your dinner!

But what's the status quo now? Does that mean you've passed your probationary year and can cruise through until next summer or what?

Dusty - your Woody is a typical cat - find the warmest place won't they! My car bonnet has scratches on it because in the summer evenings, it warms up through the sun being in that direction and they know it!

Greenbee - I really don't know why you iron bedcovers (or get your Mother to do them).... that's a dedication too far!

Had to do an emergency email to the council this evening about yet ANOTHER article in the local paper and one of the comments written regarding it. Fortunately, I've had a positive response. I don't know whether I need to go to a council meeting next week or not. I shall have to phone them up on Monday to see what else is going down.....

I have done gin with NN and dinner is almost ready. I'm hoping the house will stay upright overnight what with the gales we have at the moment...

  • Essay done, then got email saying mitigating circs committee have decided I get an extension til the 23rd. Glad I've got it finished and referenced though.

Sexym well done! We knew you could do it!

Looking forward to shopping tomorrow, I'll get some homework done in the evening when boyfriend is off to the pub to watch the Ireland match.

Felt really awful for a while after finishing essay, so couldn't be bothered to cook and we had a takeaway. Feeling a bit better now though.

    Love to everyone

They fit better in the airing cupboard and feel and look nicer on the bed... and if someone else is going to do them, even better! There are plenty of things I don't iron, and I sometimes don't iron bedding, but I like ironed pillowcases and duvet covers, so I usually take the time to do it.

Food cooked & eaten, DW loaded and set off (in fact it's probably finished now) and more laundry dry. Two loads to do tomorrow...

Dog is not happy about the wind... it's too noisy. She thinks people are trying to get in

My mother has announced that she's sleeping on the sofabed, as she wants a decent night's sleep and a 4'6" bed is too small to share with my dad for three nights if there is another option available! I suppose after 37 years she's entitled to a bit of peace & quiet occasionally :D

  • Not done too much flying chatting or posting this week as having a tough week dealing with emotions and going back to work.

Watching the 90's songs on 4Music and it is reminding me of a much happier time of my life - wish I could regain that feeling from that time now!

Will catch up tomorrow on the lists

The rain hammered it down here for a couple of hours but seems to have passed now so I hope you are all safe and sound for now if it is bad
