Hi All!
Number 119 checking in with a £400 overpayment for June. Things a bit tight for this month but hoping to make a nice big overpayment at the start of July0 -
Hello All,
Well done to everyone who has managed an OP in May :T:T
Been looking at our progress so far. By the end of June we will have OPd around £8600 which is fantastic since our target was £10000 for the year. Also this month, the mortgage will have reached another milestone (Below 80000). I can't wait to see numbers starting with a seven!:D:D
I aim to reach our £10k goal by the end of August- should be possible if no unplanned large bills appear- fingers crossed. That way if OH is out of work it won't seem so bad and if he gets a job for September we can complete work on the house. (Only hall, stairs and landing left to do inside and relaying the patio outside.)
Decided not to plan any holidays etc until OH has a job lined up- I'm happy with a good book and a glass of wine in our garden anyway:rotfl:. Let's hope for some sunshine this year!
Best of luck everyone- June marks half-way point in the 2010 challenge!2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Hi, just checking in with my first O/P. £192.
As of next month I can O/P by £274. I don't think this is going to be possible as I have already upped the payments by £411 as I have shortened the term from 29 to 12 years .MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hi everyone, No5 checking in to report mays overpayment at £10,075 :j:j. £10,000 of this was unexpexted money back from an investment, it was very hard to resist going on a shopping spree but am glad we paid it off the mortgage as we have reduced our term again from 19 years 8 months to 15 years........obviously cant settle for this and am now figuring out how to get rid of it in 10 years :rotfl::rotfl:. Thanks so much to everyone on this board for their inspiration as without you all this would not be possible

Well Hello MFW's, after June payment I am now left with a mortgage balance of just £990, yes, less than a grand. Three years ago it was over £30k but a concerted drive, helped by all the contributors to this forum, has taken me to the brink of being MF.
However, as mentioned last post, I have now bought a new kitchen including appliances with a 0% CC. My other 0% CC will be used to buy granite worktops. So I have spread the remaining mortgage over the 2nd half of 2010 (160/mth) and will use the available funds to pay off as much of the credit balance within the 0% term.
Keep up the good work everyone, you'll get there in the end :TMortgage free
