I love the inspiration and support in this forum:grouphug: - it makes me add to our mortgage piggy!

After reading earlier today - I counted up the lose change in the pig and went to the bank with an unexpected £30. So an OP today for me (no: 154) of £30 :j

    Thanks Cake for updating also!

No more overpayments this month - I think I may have been a little too organised and careful in our planning and the spur of the moment overpayments have stopped since we've, to coin a stupid advert, consolidated our overpayments into one easy start of month payment.

However, whilst that excitement has gone, we still have our little start of month celebration and, every now and again, we hit a landmark date - today marks the 250 days to mortgage freedom landmark - if it's not too scary a concept, the number of days outstanding is a nice wee bit to change every day on the signature - every day is literally a step closer to where we want to be.

Cheers everyone. Really enjoying the stories, banter and carmeraderie of the MFW2010 and MFiT-T2 groups.

    Cheers,

    Billy

    Hello all!

After multiple overpayments this month I'm very happy to report a whopping £2800 total for March. :j
Approximately 10% of this is from overtime payments, another 5% is the money that would normally go on Council Tax. The rest is from saving like a madwoman.
This takes us half way to our 2010 target- which was an ambitious target I wasn't sure we'd reach.:T:T:T

    Roll on financial freedom!
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.
    MFW OPd 2014 £2000 2013 £9700 2012 £2848.39 2011 £2509.58 2010 £11000 2009 £112002008 £4939 :D

I've paid in another £65 today, so my total for the month is £995, which will be my final figure for March.

I will save any more money I get from eBaying junk this week for April's overpayments (I've listed about 15 items which I hope to get about £200 for).

Everyone seems to be doing very well in their own way, regardless of the size of mortgage/circumstances.
    It is really motivating.

My next milestone won't be reached for a good few months, which is to get below £70,000.

We do have a mini milestone, in that we can add one more piece to the fridge magnet jigsaw puzzle of the house when we get down to £75,000. :)
