  • Update on the Nottingham facilities for overpayments, some kind soul told me I could just make a payment through my bank with the account number and sort code. The Nottingham tell me no, under £500, its standing order or send them a cheque.

Or...what will they do? :rotfl: Try and make a payment for say £1 and see whether its credited to your mortgage account - I would try that first! I bet it will work! :p

March has been a massive month for overpayments!

I have just uploaded my overpayments spreadsheet so you can have a look

    http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Ar8xYIS7-oYodEV2T3lwMmZONm5QSW0xSDFIejBqNmc&hl=en

Each coloured section is a pay period...

April should be even better as it is a 3 payday month...

    2011 MF Wannabes: #102 - Goal: Overpay mortgage by AU$15 000
    Total paid for 2011: $2253.16
  • Number 57 here again. Just had confirmation of a work bonus this year so using that and some other monies set aside made a £2250.00 payment taking the March O/P total to £3050.00 and the total since the 16th of February to £6300.00.

That is the end of my lucky bonuses and extra cash so expect the total to drop to £250.00 a month or so from now on.... but every little helps I guess!

I paid it on my Capital One card so another £22.50 in cashback to pay towards it in January! (Am I now getting TOO obsessed? :rotfl:).

    All the best,

    Steve.

Hi, member 113 belatedly reporting in for February!

There was no council tax, which freed up £96, and I withdrew £80 from my Zopa lending account. I also made my regular overpayment of £87, and made another overpayment, so my total for February was £328.75.

My salary is paid near to the end of the month, so my main overpayment didn't reach the mortgage until March. March's total will be a bit more impressive than February's!
