Think I should have gone for an online mortgage...

Who have you got your mortgage with? Nationwide has it online - you just need to apply for an internet account. Then they should send you a code and password.

It is great seeing it come down every month. I know my payments aren't huge, but it has really inspired me to put the pennies aside.

Who are you with? You may not need online access to your mortgage to make overpayments. If you can access your current account online to make payments or transfers all you need is a sort code and account number for your mortgage provider and your mortgage account number as a "reference"
I have online access to my nationwide mortgage which is nice because i can check the balance and see it dropping but to make payments I have to log into my current account (which is with a different bank).
why not ring your mortgage provider and find out if this is possible. Those little OPs due to quidco payments, halifax rewards etc really add up.
    ;)

    Hi all,

I have just overpaid another £30.00 to round the YTD up to £400. I am ahead of target so far, lets hope its stays that way. Need to improve savings though (oops).

    Good luck everyone.

Just remortgaged with the Nottingham to escape NR. They are a bit low tech, you can't make a card payment under £500 and otherwise I have to o/p by standing order, they won't even alter the DD.

Was daydreaming today about next year when my fixed rate ends and the svr still being low. The overpayments i will be able to make then could be huge. If only this dream would come true. Heres to keeping the interest rates low.

I know what you mean. I'm obsessed with the BOE rate. A couple of years ago I barely knew what it was. Now around 4th of every month I get all twitchy and keep checking the news.
