    Well done!

  • Hi,

No 113 reporting in for January.

As well at the £87 overpayment that I paid earlier this month by increasing my direct debit, I've made additional overpayments of £1,974, bringing my total overpayment to £2,061. This is 24% of my target of £8,500, so I'm off to a good start.

I've just withdrawn some money from my Zopa account which will hit my bank account next week, and there's no council tax to pay on Monday, so I'm already planning the first overpayment for February!

Will sit in corner and write 'must try harder' 100 times.....or perhaps I'll just nip over to the comps board and try to win it! :rotfl:

Same target and £206.04 paid off here, so you beat me. :rotfl:House insurance, car MOT, and a hubby in DIY mode here as part of his new years resolution.

I don't know if i will manage an overpayment at all in Feb either as we have a holiday for 5 days at Center Parcs, Other car needs MOTing, and my mum is 50. Add to this DH's tax code being wrong so wages were lower than expected for Febs pay, and i can see it being a storecupboard month here.

Perhaps i should be wandering off to the comps board too. I won't be writing lines though as i am sure we can catch up a bit as the year goes on so i am not worrying too much yet. ;)

Total to date £732.47 which is 24% of my year's target.:D
Also would put me on target to be MF by 50 (Jan 2011) which is a more scary secret target, depending on how everything else goes this year!
    :)PO xx:)
:D2010 MFW Challenge No. 112 Mortgage paid in full 27/08/10 I was MF!!!:D

  • I am so addicted to this, I keep topping the amount up! I have just added a little bit more from my wages to round it up to £180.00 for January. Trying to get as much paid off as possible as may be out of work in April (have savings put aside just in case).

Well done to everyone who has made OP's!!!!

Sorry, I think this may be a really daft question to you lot :o but I'm quite new to this and hoping number crunching will get me even more motivated.
How do I work out what my daily interest is on my mortgage?
I don't think the account has online access and we have to change our mortgage at the end of March but want to get it all straight in my head.
    Thanks in advance.
Last of my OPs for January £46
    Total for January £266

interest rate times amount owed divided by 100 then divided by 365 days or 365.25 if you want to be really accurate and account for leap years! Hope this helps.

    eg 0.0149x233730/365 = £9.54
