  • Hi, I had depression that has been managed since Easter. I lost it really easily because I went swimming 2 -3 times a week (100 length a time), walked lots. I feel great now and am going to take a break until February and then I want to lose 2 - 3 more stone ready for the summer.

One of the reason that I haven't put that much into my morgage, I have had to buy lots more clothes and have only recently discovered ebay!

£149 last OP of the year, thanks everyone. Around 150 quid over the £4000 target set at the start of the year. Quite pleased with ourselves as that's roughly 7.5k since last June when we started overpaying, which we never even planned to do at first. So glad we did now though. Have a baby due early next year so will try to overpay in 2011 but it will be small amounts.

    Cheers again

    Overpayment for December of £1,400.
This will be my last one for 2010.

Overpayment target (£10,000) and mortgage balance target (£65,000) both achieved and exceeded.

Hope to see most of you in the 2011 thread when it starts up.

At last we have done it. Yesterday afternoon we walked into the Building Society and paid off all but £1 of our mortage - four and a half years early and six months before our current deal runs out. I was all for paying off the lot but DH talked me into keeping £1 - he said we can pay a £1 off at anytime but if we did need to borrow more money at short notice it wouldn't be so easy. I guess he is right. I expected to feel more excited but I am strangely calm - don't think it has sunk in yet! Off to record my journey in the MF Roll of honour. Meanwhile thanks everyone for your support/ideas/ encouragement and to Cake for keeping us all organised.

    Hello All

I've been rather quiet on posting but reading throughout the year and I would like to congratulate those who have paid off their mortgage and also the rest of us who keep going in (hopefully) the right direction.

I haven't reached my target yet as whilst I have been fortunate and kept working, the payment side of things (from the government no less) has slowed to a trickle. So I do not want to declare my final total as yet because I am hoping that I may get paid some money for the mortgage in before the end of year.

No15 reporting in - yesterday I made December overpayment of £500 to part 1 and £220 to part 2 of the mortgage, which gives a total of £720 for December. I may try to make a wee trip to the BS soon for another wee payment before the end of the year, but we will see what happens about the weather. Hope we can continue with this thread for 2011 cause it keeps you motivated as I have a long way to go.
