I firstly wanted to say a huge congratulations to the few on the spreadsheet that I can see that are now mortgage free. A fantastic achievement and I am extremely jealous.
I am just booking in my OP for October £200 plus normal £100 SO
Oct OP £300
Just short of £4k OPs this year :T :jMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
EMFD was Feb 32  NOW Dec 2013 its Dec 2016
MF new target Dec 16 REACHED!! :j0 -
£334 for September.
First baby born early next year but still determined to overpay even by smaller amounts. Close to this years target now, really happy about that! :beer:0 -
September OP made of £462.00. With this added to my previous I have a year total of £1,259.71. This exceeds my £1200 target so have set a new target for the year of £1500. I am very please with this considering that I am also frantically saving for a period of maternity leave next year.0

No.87 reporting in.... I'm back in business!!!!
We had to dip into our £1029 but l'm pleased to say we'll be upto £1350.00 early next week, which includes some money from changing heat supplier through Top Cashback, £110!!! :T
Don't think we're going to get to our £5k this year but who knows??
I think the first £1,000 is always the hardest.
Good luck and well done everyone xx

Morning Folks,
The first of the month, the long planned visit to the bank to see what's what and a miserable, rainy day in Edinburgh with bank and phone shop customer facing staff who need a proper kick in the proverbials! I'll leave that for the diary entry as I'm in very serious danger of turning into not only a snob and a racist but also a grumpy old man in very short order!!
After today's penultimate payment to the mortgage, the tale of the tape, month and (year to date), is as follows (with a few pencekeeper stats and Froggy-G inspired countdows to boot)!
Normal Mortgage Payment: £827.06 (£8,270.60)
Interest Accrued: £5.71 (£221.44) - landmark of under a tenner a month and under 20p a day!
Overpayments: £1,678.65 (£20,950.84)
Total Payments: £2,511.42 (£29,442.88)
Mortgage Outstanding: £2,500
Better still, it is definitely as simple as phoning up HSBC on the 29th, getting the interest as it stands added onto the account and then clearing the lot so that now takes us to exactly the 29th of October 2010 for mortgage freedom! That, in Froggy-G time, is 768 hours, 46,080 minutes or approximately 2,764,800 seconds to go!
Cheers,
Billy (#17)Mortgage Free: 28/10/2010Time / Interest Saved: 18.5 years / £61,866.500 -
