DDs had a friend to sleepover so I made breakfast muffins. Had to dash out to corner shop as I had no eggs or bread!

Dishwasher is on and spent some time finding out if nursing home that my Dad's neighbours are in have any places for when he leaves the hospice.

I did not want to even mention it unless it was possible - so now have to find a way to broach it with my Dad.

It sounds lovely - they are going for a trip to the seaside on Tuesday -felt like joining them - lol ;)

    Hello peeps
Feels like I've not been on here for eons, but felt I ought to pop in to say hello, and announce my first ever purchase of stardrops yesterday!

Loads to tell, but nothing interesting, so I shan't bother. Better get on with some work anyway, as I'm skiving off at 3 to go get my haircut (Major chopping off of locks. Fed up with it long).

Nels & Rzl, glad you enjoyed Cheshire Oaks, I only ever get to pop in briefly on my way to a client meeting on the Wirral. Boundary Mill will be a disappointment after C.O. I fear!

    hello everyone.

Rung WM repair man and told him manufacturer said its either part A or part B gone to be told if its part A it's cheaper for me to come out, if its part B it's cheaper for manufacturer to come out. AARRGGH how do I know which it will be:confused: , so I decided to leave it for DH to sort out:p . That left me with a weeks washing though:rolleyes: cos I left it whilst I did FL and thought it would be repaired in time for weekend, so I called in some favours:D . 1l oad went to my neighbours, another to MIL, another to nans and the rest I took to the laundrette and read a mag and drank a bottle of pop whilst it washed. Took it home to dry and it's done cos it's been sunny and breezy here. I've never managed to clear laundry basket before, obviously this is the answer, wait all week for it to pile up and then get other people to do it ;) :rotfl:

Went to sons school and bought some books from his book fayre, tidied up downstairs, just DD to pick up from nursery in a bit. Have to go to supermarket shopping later. I have some coupons that run out today so I want to get them used up :D

Hopefully we are going to a relatives in midlands this w/end to a garden party/watch england play. Enjoy your w/end everyone :j

Finally got in that shower (you can all breathe again) and finished profit and loss accounts.

Lovely lunch of lettuce sarnies made with H/M bread and H/G lettuce... See, I'm finally becoming OS!!!:D :j :j :D

Took DS1 and 3 fruit picking £3.90 per kilo for strawbs, £6 per kilo for rasberries/loganberries etc. How does that compare with other places?

Collected DS2 from school, quick trip into town to pay part of mortgage and drop accounts into job center and then took DS2 to band practice.
Home at last and am convincing myself that the remaining jobs will be best done tomorrow......:p Ok, I'll have a cuppa and think about it.... providing I don't fall asleep :o

Hello everbody!!! I know I've not been around for a while - I've been busy earning! Actually y'know how I've taken on another private doctor? Well, he's found out he's not paying us the correct amount (me and another girl do it between us he does that much private work). My rate is going up £4 an hour!!:j I've only done one month for him - does that mean I can get another pay rise in a month then? perhaps not but he is back dating it :j I also did 3 hours last night finishing at 7 for him so that's £45!!! hurrah - finally some good luck. Then last night came home and baked a full oven full of stuff for somebody who was retiring (carrot cake) and Mr Rage and me. Mr Rage pointed out we may not have much money but at least we have "real" cake - which was quite touching really. Also Mr Rage has got a job interview doing what he used to do - I think he's finally had to admit that underfloor heating just isn't taking off for him. Shame really because I know he didn't like working for somebody else and it would have been nice for him to get somewhere but 2 years of living in the hope of a big order have finally sapped him of any enthusiasm - poor love. Still, at least one of us is earning. I've done all my medico-legal work as well this week and although I have some transcribing left to do tonight I will be doing some embroidery and nothing else. Oooh a night off!! Well, with that I'm off for a mooch on e-bay - window shopping honest guv!!! Actually you may all be able to help - I want to treat Mr Rage for his birthday in August (Bank Holiday weekend) and I've booked a few days off work - any ideas for something I can spring on him which is cheap? I have run out of ideas.....
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Right folks, we're back from Boundary Mill :D

TM and Nels both tried on the same "horrible" shoes for a laugh, and once they were wearing them they decided they really liked them - so they bought a pair each! They were only £10. That was - and Nels knows her shopaholic reputation will be ruined if I tell you this - the only thing she bought all day :D:D

TM got a very nice floral-patterned trench coat, a green corduroy jacket and a bracelet.

I found a beautiful outfit for a wedding I am going to in September - a lavender fitted jacket and a white and lavender embroidered skirt, both from Kaliko, which is normally very pricey and they were only half price rather than super bargains. Also got a nice pink jacket from Kaliko which was a bit more of a bargain. But managed to get a lovely pair of cream peep-toed heels to go with the wedding outfit for only a tenner, and for another tenner, a small violet handbag. Finished off my bargain collection with a lovely blue Liz Claiborne handbag and a pink Lepel bra. All in all I have well and truly bust my budget so may be a bit short on the savings update this month - but I have got EVERYTHING I knew I needed this summer, so won't have to brave the July sales in Central London or Bluewater!

It did take a lot of "hunting" among a lot of "old lady clothes" but we did end up with some absolutely beautiful things - and I did have sufficient self-control to talk myself out if buying a LOT more stuff!

    So the final count is:

    Nels
    Shoes: 5
    Tops: 5
    Skirts: 2
    Belts: 1
    Bikinis: 1

    Rzl
    Shoes: 5
    Bags: 3
    Bras: 4
    Tops: 5
    Jackets: 2
    Skirts: 4
    Trousers: 2
    Necklaces: 1
    Earrings: 1

    TM
    Coats: 1
    Jackets: 1
    Shoes: 1
    Bracelets: 1

House is now full of kiddies (TM's and next door's) and TM's DS2 has decided that his "thought for the day" is the phrase "Banana Pants Poo" repeated with much hilarity and at great length :D  He has gone from being half asleep for an hour or so after preschool to jumping round the living room covering everything and everybody in the remains of a sticky red ice lolly :D

TM is feeding the boys fishfingers and chips (she's very OS most of the time, honest! :D) and next door's mummy is coming to babysit this evening so the three of us can go out for some pub grub.

This is the life :D - it's been years since I've been on a shopping spree "with the girls" as I normally just pick up bits and bobs at charity shops when I see them. The hard part will be trying to transport it all back to London on the train!

Right, am off to play with little monkeys

    Rzl xx
