  • Not exciting I'm afraid - for me, my first priority is to learn to budget:o and ensure I never get into debt again.

I've been in debt for years (very recently got rid of the last of it:j) and have never been able to budget as it's always been "rob Peter, pay Paul" every month as one debt became more urgent than another:o.

I've done a new SOA and have enough money to live - not extravigantly but there's enough to pay all the bills / put set amounts away each month to cover things / have the odd luxury (sky .....;) but only basic package) and have a wee bit left every month.

I know I have to do it as it's really the only way to avoid getting into a mess again, but never having done it (I'm nearly 40:o) TBH, it terrifies me:eek:

Ultimately, I'd love to go on holiday - last one was in 1999 (paid for by the cc of course:() and I'm going to put away a bit each month into a "holiday pot" and when I've got enough saved, that'll be my treat.:D

I am really REALLY pushing to be debt free by xmas....would mean i can save enough in January alone to pay for holiday to Florida next year, then the next 10 months saving for house deposit...should have at least £20k. Iv become an absolute addict and i love it. Even if i dont get debt free until January, Febuary will pay Florida and i will have 10 - 12 months to save that £20k for moving out.

Bring it on, my dream is in my OWN home at 21 with gf...would be lovely. Saving enough just incase i move out myself......So covering worst case...
    Lets do it :D
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
