Squid! Yummy.
mmmmmmm. squid. Tentacley....................
Flour it and drop it in hot oil for Calamari. Chop it up inot a fish stew. Goes nice in a tomato sauce with pasta. Wear it as a jaunty cap. Throw it at passersby.
The possibilities are endless.

Morning chicks, got a letter from Rossendales, giving yet more made up figures - in this letter they've taken on board my point about a missed out payment they forgot to add, it's now in their figures.
Magnanimously thay'll 'give me one final chance' to pay this in installments. OOh, methinks I hot a nerve. They still haven't sent all the correspondence, proof of original debt etc. So they're going to get a letter back telling them I made my caculations based on the figures they provided, they can't now send new ones showing something different. Plus they STILL haven't given me all the paperwork I asked for, and so basically any more trouble from them I take it to court. Maybe then theyll miraculously find the stuff I'm asking for. You see, I know one letter gave a definate finl balance, which they've now changed, and this letter proves that they've added money on. And naturally they don;t want to give it to me. So this bank hols I'll be digging through my paperwork so I can sent it to them. I love annoying these people. Makes a change.
Feeling pretty positivie today. I'm coming up with some plans for making some extra money, to go into our saving accoutn to buy a cafe in Florida. And guess what?? A friend of mine who has just opened a British cafe in SDavenport has found out she's having anohtter baby, and has tol me she's looking to sell the place in the future. Talk about a nudge from the universe!!! Now you tell me if that isn;t fate. Obviously we'll need to check out the business as it grows, etc but even if it doesn't work out, that's a hell of a hint, isn't it?! Given me an incentive to get everything paid off and sorted. OH's job might urn into full time, and then the whole lot is going straight into debt/saving, as we're coping without it now. I reckon I should be able to do it before to long. Feels gret to be able to do something towards our dream.
Well chicks, I've a busy day of ebaying and stuff ahead, and today I made myself promise not to spend all day on MSE/Staring at webcams of Florida/surfing the emmigration forums. Got to be productive and earn some pennies. Hope you're all doing well, saving those £2 coins, tarting those cards and generally being mean and skinflint. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Hello Oberon, I'm glad things are heading in the right direction for you. I really want to move to florida too, but don't you find the visa requirements a bit too difficult? Without having 500,000 to invest into a business I'm struggling to find a way. I really do wish you the best of luck with it all and the cafe does sound like a nudge from the gods.0

Hey lady, just sent you a pm, don;t want to bore everyone to death with my rendition of 'Visa Visa Visa'. Basically, for anyone else who's a bit confused about the whole thing, having shedloads of money isn;t the only way into the States, but the other ways require more in the way of hard work. There's loads of info at http://www.expatsvoice.org/forum, the forum I use. Lots of friendly ex pats, tons of help available. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Thanks obi for that information. I'm off to the website now to see what might apply to us. I'll follow your progress too, maybe I'll see you out there:D0

Glad things are swinging your way Oberon, but you did make me smile as I misread 'being sick as a dog and ebaying like mad'
as 'being sick as a dog and baying like mad'! Oops!
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hey obi finally caught up with your thread.:D

Well ebay have pulled my auction. It was basically 'donate to our Florida fund and we'll send you an ebook'. Apparently now you can't sell ebooks on ebay anymore, so it got yanked. Still, it might have worked.
So back to the hard slog. I'm not taking my days off any more, and am in evey day beavering at getting my new improved Little Taste Of Home site up and going, as the software I had it on locked me out. So a whole new rebuild. Hurrah for that. Like I haven't got enough to do!!
Rossendales (Satan's Bully Boys) have decided to reply, no I still owe them money, despite them STILL not sending the correspondence I've asked for - you know, the prrof that the debt is actuall half what they claim - so they're getting a strongly worded letter telling them to sod off, they've failed to prove the debt given several chances and now they can go batter some other b*gger's door down for a washing macine and foot spa. Sod em, I'm just not worrying any more.
About to get LTOH made into a limited compnay, then we need to trade for a yar before I sell up my (by then hopefully) ver successful shop, take the money and apply for our visas. Take over/start up a british cafe and sunshine and roses shall be ours. Well, you get the idea. We're under no illusion that i'll be one long holiday - we'll have to work doubly hard, but I don;t mind doing that, as long as on Sundays I can take the kids to a clean sunny beach, see them eat well and live in a nicer house than we could ever afford here. Everyhting seems better when the sun shines, and I don't intend to ever be in debt again.
I hope you all are doing okay, well done to Snaggles for popping out her daughter (who won the 'when will she give birth pool by the way?) and I hope you're all being really cheap today. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

I'm waiting on confirmation of official times etc before I announce the winner of the pool, but I think it's looking like piglet6 at the mo!
I had a look at that expat website you mentioned and the immigration process looks veeeeery scary - I've always thought, ah I'd like to end up living in the States, but crikey, fair play to you working out that system - I've been well and truly scared off for a bit at least!2007 Bronze Olympic Challenge: Total £1057.34 :jDFW Nerd 269: Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0
