At the very least Obi you could write an inspirational guide: "1001 hilarious monikers for your ex-husband from hell"! I think perhaps you should look into writing though, think how many people enjoy reading your work on here
You could be scribbling away whilst pointedly ignoring the evil army of old ladies - hang on, I'll serve you in a minute... I just need a metaphor to finish this paragraph... :rotfl:2007 Bronze Olympic Challenge: Total £1057.34 :jDFW Nerd 269: Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0 -

You do realise that you guys are going to make me unleash something upon the world that it may not be ready for? 'Hilly Botter & The Pensioners From Hell'. 'The Bobble Hat Code' or 'Gordon Brown's Buttflap & Other Hilarious Tales'. You've done it now....
Still feeling sick as the proverbial dog on high seas, so popping out in bit for some ginger beer. Ate a teacake and that was nice, stayed down and han't given me any trouble. Ebay & Amzon is going well - opened an Ebay store the other day, so going t spend this arvo tinkering with it. Been told when I get further on that's all I'm allowed to do, on account of me retching on the customers. Nearly £250 so far this month, so that's the phone bill taken care of. If I can do this each month I'll soon get caught up on the outdtanding stuff. It's so much easier to debt manage when you're not playing catch up, don't you agree?
I have been spreading the MSE word, went over to friends and found out that one of my mates has quite a large credit card bill, currently being sorted by CAB, but think it helped him knowing there was a site he could check out if he got a bit worried. So if you're reading this, baldy, you're not alone!! Another friend has been paying off a 13k debt WITHOUT THE INTEREST BEING FROZEN!! There were words said, people, words said. So on my to do list is to send copies of the bank charges letters to them all, print out one for OH. I should charge a commission!!
Feeling quite optimistic at the moment, everything seems horribly smooth. Probably means the gods are up there sniggering, watching the cosmic bucket of shaving foam descending onto my noggin. But I'm going to enjoy the smooth bits while I can; I'll worry about getting the foam out of the carpet another day. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Awww you guys. You'll give me an ego!!
Well chicks, all is well in the world. I had Words with the young man (says she at the ripe old age of 26) at Barclays, told them unless I get my settlement and letter saying I don;t owe them a thing I'll re-instate the case. It's missed this months rent, so Mr Landlord From Hell will have to wait a few days for the rest of the missed month. But seeing as 6 months on he still hasn't sorted out the black mould problem we have in nearly every room, he'd better not get onto me again. Last time he phoned about the back rent (having conveniently forgotten the conversation we had about when it would be paid) he was treated to a rundown of all the problems. When my credit ran out he didn;t call back. Funny that....
The bailiffs went out to serve papers on the lass who owes me rent. Feels a bit odd being on the other end of the bailiffs, but these are nice county court ones. I wouldn't send Rossendales (May They Choke On Their Own Clipboards) out if me life depended on it. There some evils that just shouldn't be unleashed. Rossendales and Jordan's 'musical' career. [shudder] Apparently the lass has applied to have it suspended. Considering she offered £10 a week, managed 2 weeks then disappeared for 3 weeks, the bailiff actually chuckled when he told me. Can't see the court wearing that for a minute. Fair enough, if she'd been pinned down to an unmanageable amount, but she OFFERED the tenner!! I really don't know how some people keep getting offered chances to sort things out, and simply don;t take them, or better still take them and then deliberatley !!!! them up, She's had 3 years to sort this out, plus then 10 per week payments, and now even the bailiffs have offered her help and she's not turned up for the meeting. Some folks don't have a clue.
Still feeling sick as a dog, ebaying like mad, and generally trying to get sorted. Went to town yesterday and signed up for local council housing, anything to get out of the place we are. DD has a terrible cough and runny nose, I just know it's the mould, and the landlord just won;t do anything about it. So now we wait. Going to sit down this arv and redo our budget. OH has got a job at Games Workshop, only 8 hours a week but as it's his favourite place in the world it's more like social time for him. Plus it could lead to full time in the furture, so fingers crossed.
Right, I'm off to fend off old ladies smelling of cat and to perhaps run a duster over. Don;t hold your breath though. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Morning chicks.
Well, I'm feeling pretty good about my DF status. Course, I'm not DF, but I will be, and I've even been able to upset Rossendales - makes it a good day in anyone's book. They've been sending me letters telling me I owe xx, then xx (which is a figure not even remotely connected to figure 1) so after getting a solicitor involved (and what a waste of time that was) I tok their latest made up figure letter, compered it to my own. Now, as a good MSE'er I have all my debts on a spreadsheet, meticulously checked and altered everytime a penny is paid. So I know EXACTLY how much they're owed.
So I did the calculations, told them by my figures they're owed £29.06, after taking off all their fees for visits that never happened, plus the £129 that I paid the solicitor to get theinfo they failed to provide. I told them if they had a problem with this, they could send me the information I was asking for within 5 days, complete with copies of correspondence etc. Surprisingly not heard a dicky bird from them. Goes to show you, chicks - stand up to a bully and they back down.
I don;t like Rossendales, as many of you have gathered. I think they're a bunch of thick necked, thick headed bully boys with less common sense than a root vegetable, and the same level of human warmth and compassion as a rock. I discovered recently that they're actually part of several associations and regulatory bodies. So I'm inthe process of gathering as much evidence of the various ways they've mistreated me, and am going to present it to these bodies. And I reckon that if enough people do this, they will not only get their membership of these associations recinded, but it might bring them to the attention of the Government. So if you've had problems with them not giving warrants, making up visits, charging more than the legal amount for visits etc put it in writing, and make a complaint. Lets get these bully boys shown up for what they really are.
Right, that's my rant over. I'm off to find stuff to Ebay, drink some ginger beer to stop me puking and pack up some mushy peas to go to Hawaii. Have a good day Chicks, we can get through this, and we'll come out of it better people. We rock. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Flour it and drop it in hot oil for Calamari. Chop it up inot a fish stew. Goes nice in a tomato sauce with pasta. Wear it as a jaunty cap. Throw it at passersby.
The possibilities are endless. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
