only £25 and you can have a shopping cart for that, I have 1 and am really pleased with it.
Hard decision about selling obie, make sure you don't rush making it. Did the business give you a good income in the begining that you feel you can build back up too? Is there more money to be made with the british foods?
Everything not too bad with me, debt should be below £20k next week, I can't wait. Hubby just still sees the £20k of debt still owing though  Guess i'm the optimist he's the pessimist0 -
34% is nowt to be sneezed at mate! £11k is enough to put down on a modest house, or buy a new car, or go on several very nice holidays.
I've got Actinic for my site, had versio 7 for a number of years. It's not a bad program, but templates can be a bit restrictive, and takes some getting used to for a non-techie.This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Hey Obi
Just checked out the site..... very good...... Just had a little thought, when my sister was in NYC she was ill and found herself craving lucozade and plain hula hoops. Her OH had to search everywhere for them, apparently they're really hard to get over there. (Although in NYC there a shop called Tea and Sympathy where you get stuff from home.... I think they're even trying to call the area Little Britain or something).
Anyhoo.... keep it up hun.

crisps in general has been mentioned to me before now. Yeah, there's a movement to try and put a little britain bit into NYC, like Little China and Little Italy.
Glad you like the site, I'm pleased for a basic site and a few standard products. At the moment we go down the wholesalers every now and again and just wander up and down making notes of prices for stuff. Must look a bit daft to the people who work there...This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

But worrying with all the debt, but I'm sure we'll find a way.
So crack open the nettos champers everyone! This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Okay everyone, now I've done the rounds of informing everyone, I'll settle down with a nice cuppa and do a proper entry in TheBig Thread O' Debt.
Obviously, you can see we're having another baby. DD is just over 2 years, and we weren't actually going to start trying til our holiday in Novemebr, but I got very broody for some unknown reason, and here we are. 2 weeks by my calculations, but if the docs used the last day of last period etc then it's 6. But it isn't, cos I made a note in my organiser. So nurr to the docs. That gives a due date of around the 20th December.
FIL is chuffed to bits, keeps saying thankyou for giving him another grandchild. He's alos offered to make life a bit easier for us - he's offered to pay the rent for us if we move into his current house when he moves into the one he's just bought. Pro - free rent in an absolutely gorgeous village, con OH is keen on where we live (even though it's not nice) becasue he's got loads of mates there. He can still travel back though, so it's basically been decided.
He's also offered to take over the car payments short term , so that's a load off. He's also commited to helping me get the shop running profitably, and basically the help he's giving us will be classed as payment for me helping out with his paperwork and basically being his PA.
The Mad Southerner (tm) has popped her head up again, wanting to buy the shop, despite the PALAVER we had last time. This time FIL is dealing with it, and had her on the phone the other day. He very rightly asked her to put her interest in writing, with a ready willing and able prelim offer. She went mad at this, and then spent 10 mintues slagging me off to him - not realising that he's my FIL, not just some business broker. And what's really given me the hump is that apparently she is still holding onto a copy of my lease, despite being told to return all copies of relevant paperwork when the last sale fell through. So not pleased. Think I'll have her run circles then tell her to bog off, like she did to me last time. Except of course if she stumps up a lot of cash very quickly.
Sun's shining, I'm not having to deal with too many freaks today, as OH has started helping in the shop and fends them all off. Feeling very happy, if a little twingy. OH has gone out and got a preganancy magazine, and keeps calling out facts about the preganancy 'Did you know the baby's 20mm right now?' Bless. Lets hope he's as enthusiastic when I'm the size of a samll house and complaining about everything, asking for watermelon icecream at 2am and practically living in the toilet.
So chicks and non-chicks, I hope you're having a happy, 'cheep' bank holiday, and are doing well with your debt plans. I always find it easier to be DFW when the sun's shining. Not sure why - probably something to do with the sunshine making happy hormones, meaning less upset about money and less likely to comfort-shop. So take advantage of the sun - your budget will thank you! This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Morning chicks and tightwads,
Bit of a down & up kinda day - my ebay/amazon total is up to nealry £200 for this month, so that's brilliant. Down in so much as basically I told the council my shop rent would be late, but seeing as they've had over £2k since january they can go hang themselves, and they've sent out a nasty letter (which Mr Obi has handily taken home so I can't read it)
But to be honest, a few months ago that would have panicked me. Now i'm all kind of -well, so wat. I can't do any more than I am, so what's the point in getting het up? I laid in bed last night knowing I'm going to come into work and have old women get nasty because I'm low stocked. But you, I thought - it won;t matter in a years time if some old granny gets her wig off at me. I've given up getting in a flap, cos it's not doing me any good.
Things aren't going too badly debtwise, it's going down slowly but surely, and that's all I can ask for. Had a bit of an overspend last week, but nothing we can't get back on track with. Bought a gorgeous moses basket for 'Prawn', £20 with stand, toy & bedding from Hemswell Sunday Car Boot, so great going there, methinks! We got a bit of an upset from Thomas Cook, as we've a holiday booked in November, and I'll be too far on to fly. So we thought we'd simply bring the holiday forward. Um, no. They'll take most of the deposit to do these changes, and it'll work out more expensive anyway, so we'll have to cancel the holiday and lose the deposit. But seeing as the brochure claims they take the deposit to cover 'their expenses' and I can't see it costing them £300 - doesn't this come under the same sort of thing as the bank charges??!! Oooh, I'm s slick I could put cars off the road...
No word from The Crazy Southerner - personally I think now she's having to deal with an an older professional, not some young gir,l she'll just leave i, and t be honest I couldn;t care one way or the other. She's alreadydone enough damage with mucking us arund, so I'm not fussed.
I hope you guys are all perky and happy and doing things on the cheap. I found if I'm having a bad day, I surf the freebie sites and apply for loads of stuff. That way in a few weeks time you get a pleasnt surprise when something you forgot about popps through your door. Never fails to please. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Just had a very random thought, but the summer camp season is coming up from about the end of May onwards, and I know when I did it my mum loved sending me stuff - so perhaps you could do a camp survival kit type promotion for British counsellors? I mean for their families to send, but we all used to get all-sorts in the post, and American companies do care packages for parents to send their kids. Anywho, just a thought (probably totally incoherent, first cup of tea of the day has yet to kick in, I'll be honest), just thought it might be a good advertising angle for you. I went with Camp America, but BUNAC send counsellors too, so if you contact them you might even get something linked in? We had deals on phone cards, tours in New York... but nothing regarding chocolate supply - or Heat magazine!2007 Bronze Olympic Challenge: Total £1057.34 :jDFW Nerd 269: Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0
