Grrrrr – I really hate text language. I especially hate those who use text language in work emails. It’s just so inappropriate! What’s wrong with a nice “kind regards”, why does it need to come with a winking smiley as well? It’s always an email chasing for something as well – blah blah, yes I’m dumping all this on you again and why haven’t you responded to my request which I sent yesterday – and look, aren’t I a nice person because here’s a little smiley face. Grrrrrrrr.
A friend of mine used to screen potential dates by texting them first. If they responded without using correct English and good grammar then they were off the list. Nice to have had that many options I suppose, but when you’re as beautiful as she was you need to have some way of screening!!
Sorry for the hijack there, you’ve hit a nerve Obi! Hope all goes well in the land of wool today and there are many new babies being planned for grannies to knit outfits for!

Obi, I too hope all goes well in the land of wool (sure you could write a book about that!). Be nice to the old ladies, they pay the bills. You'll get your revenge in another life..... Or get your own back now - tell them you've run out of bags - my mum would faint with the shock, can't cope with buying even a packet of mints without having them in a bag - seems to be an old person thing?????? (Embarassing when in spuermarket and she's getting me to steal carrier bags for her.)
Hope LB & DD also ok, and how is selling of Him Under The Patio's skulls (   ) etc going?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

hey oberon, I've just found your thread (I know, I know, where have I been...!) and read it all from start to finish. I was meant to leave for the gym 45 minutes ago... oops. just wanted to echo many other comments on here:
1. you're a fantastic writer, very naturally witty
2. as a fellow 25-yr-old you put me totally to shame - running business, 15-month old daughter, and no complaints... I feel like a spoilt brat in comparison and it really makes me want to get off my @rse and start shifting my debts!
and
3. consider yourself on my "must just see how southernscouser, lynzpower, purpleprincess, james240, molanole, emmzi and emily are doing oh !!!!!! how did it get to that time" list
keep going chick and that DFD and house in the Florida sun will be here before you know it!

Oi!!! I leave you lot alone for 5 minutes in your playpens, and look what happens. Honestly, thought SS at least could have kept you all in line.
As it happens, I was not locking lips with Mr Wonderful, Thursdays is my Games Workshop night, where I battle my little plastic elves against other people's little plastic orcs/goblins/undead/mutated rat things etc. Very sad, very embarrassing, but hey, it gets me out the house.
Well chicks and not-chicks, today was a bit lousy for a weekend but still, at least I took something. Already one day down for taking Wednesday off. Just bitty things sold today, 1 ball of wool here, packet of needles there. No terribly rude old women though. Not surprised it was slow though, cos apparently some idiot from the market invited the local news program tot he market, obviously intending a 'save our market' campaign. Unfortunately it backfired, and they did a lovely report on how rundown, dirty and generally disgraceful Scunny market is. So this morning we all got a snotty letter from Markets Dept basically saying 'hahahahahahahaa' and telling us they have actually spent £100k on the market recently - I'd like to know where, cos the building is in serious need of renovation. The deal is that they're planning on 'rezoning' us (moving us somewhere out of the way) so they can 'redevelop the markets quarter' (sell the land to Asda for a fat juicy profit) and have left us all hanging around waiting to see what's going to happen.
Another bit of bad news - Lovely Boyf's dog had to be put down yesterday. Lovely black lab, got a tumour. He was quite upset, but trying not to show it at Games Workshop, so in typical male fashion just basically got a right nark on. Seems to be okay now.
On the upside I paid my council tax - um, still 2 months behind and they've already started court proceedings, as they do if you miss even one payment) Hoping to get it up to date then write a pleading letter telling them I've had a marriage breakup, so sorry, have got account up to date, can I please carry on paying monthly? Strangely the council tax is exactly the same amount as Child Benefit, so can pay the bill the day that goes into the account. Whay do you all think? I also paid an extra £10 off my council debt, using my £2 coins, and am one 1 short of another tenner, making it £20 overpaid in 2 weeks, Not much, but it's better than nothing. Should have it paid off 3months early at this rate.
My ebay stuff is all going great, hit this months target of £200 and still going! Think it's the big red letters on my listings saying 'Clearing out after divorce, so me a favour and bid for all his stuff'!!! So if anyone wants any nasty scary skull stuff, they know where to come!
Starting my South Beach Diet again tomorrow, so went out and got all the stuff, as the last month's freezer clearing excersize has left me with empty shelves (except a can of refried beans I don't remember buying, and a lone bag of peas in the freezer. Why are there always peas left in the freezer? Do they come with the freezer, do you think? Even if you never buy peas, can't strand peas there they are, grinning at you from a frosty corner of the appliance) So wish me luck, aiming for another half to stone off, to be in my ideal weight to height range. It's either that or I have to grow another foot.
So people, hope you've had a very good, cheap few days, and that you've remembered every day is a step closer. Print it out and stick it on your fridges. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0 -
Sorry to hear about the dog, my brother had to have his cat put down today, it sucks.
Nice going on the ebay though!DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

Found 15 packs last month!!!!!
So wish me luck, aiming for another half to stone off, to be in my ideal weight to height range. It's either that or I have to grow another foot. It's not a foot to half a stone ratio, it's 1cm to 2 stone (says she putting her heels on)
