Well DFW's, just a quick one as it's Solstice tonight, means I'm up at 2 am to make sure Child is suitable bundled, coffee made and copious amounts of hayfever remedy swallowed. I love nature, it just doesn't love me back! Talking of hayfever remedies, I bought a cheap one from Boots today (£1.25 for 7 one-a-day) and I might as well have taken a tic tac. Ususally use Benadryl, but that's not putting much of a dent in it this year. Lesson for today - some things are not worth downgrading on.
Pretty good day at the shop today, but then went and blew my DFW halo's shiny patina by not only buing lunch for 2nd day running (£2.95) but then stopped at Co-Op and bought Child ready made baby food and then some bits for me, ended up spending the same amount as my weekly shop (£7.50) on dips, stilton and crackers. So bit annoyed at myself as I could have made child a pitta pizza and not spent the money. But I am seriously enjoying these dips, and despite being able to get stilton cheaper at the market I really like the co-op one. So not all bad.
Hope everyone had a cheap day, and will be sending out DFW type thoughts as the sun comes up tomorrow morning.
Ob, even with global warming summer solstice is only once a year, so enjoy!!!!
And look, I've got 3 ***'s now!!!!!!!
Have a great night xA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Evening chickees, hope it's has been a cheap one for all of us. Hasn't been for me.....
As Lovely Boyfriend and I have decided we'd like to take Child out more I've been and got a child seat. I needed it, and it was half price, so paid £50 for it, but not budgeted for. Having to transfer money for frantic ebaying into the account to cove it, and was so looking forward to paying off my sofa with it. Still, the money was there to buy it without leaving me short on the essentials, so I guess it wasn't a bad thing. Just disappointed I couldn't pay something off with the money. Was worth it to hear Lovely Boyfriend say he really enjoyed shopping for the car seat, and that he feels better now Child will be safe. (To explain in case it looks too havy for a new thing, we've been friends for years, and he was even best man at The Wedding That Shall Be Erased From The Records. So I'm not leaping into a serious thing with total stranger).
Took the day off work as we were both shattered from being up for sunrise, so had to miss the best part (back to someone's house of bacon/meatfree bacon type stuff sarnies) and went home to get baby to bed. Used the part of the morning LB was still snoring his head off to get somethings sorted and so had very productive day. Phoned Tax Credit people, to make sure increased payments will cover Child's nursery (it will), phoned Powergen about why I hadn;t had bill in 7 months - appears Ex was mucking around with account and actually moved the account away for a period of time. Never seen any paperwork, and am apparently back with them now, so that's all sorted. Also phoned local college about the beauty course I want to do, only to find out they moved the course list release date from July up to May, and the course is full. Hmm, they didn't advertise that very well. So going to have to wait a year. Feel bad about missing a day's takings, but I really needed today off to a) rest and b) get these calls done.
So all in all an excellent day, and I am very pleased with myself. Ebaying still trickling in, and have nearly hit my target of £200 by end of June (currently £198). At the moment it's being chipped into to cover bills, until council get butts into gear about my benefits claim, but should be able to replace it with any backdated payments I get. So looking ahead, and feeling pretty positive. Hope y'all are too. I'm off to get a bunch of clothes on Ebay, then settle down with a good book in the bath and tell myself that I'm doing brilliantly thanks tot he support I get from you lovely people.

You should do that, cos I'm writing to my MP to make it a public holiday. Divorce Day, the day we can all get together and slate 'smug marrieds' to quote a certain fat chick. I also see the Gov are trying to put tax breaks back in again for marrieds, without actually trying to alienate their single/cohabiting parent voters by saying marriage is better. Makes me mad to think these slimy bedhopping MP's, who can't seem to keep it in their pants) are trying to tell me that by not being married I'm not doing as good a job as people who signed a bit of paper. Grrr, my personal bugbear. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Good for you having a day off..new man sounds nice & good that you know him and know what you're getting into!! Will def celebrate on your divorce day...I remember mine well..cocktails and very loud singing I seem to recall and a hangover that was as bad as the marriage, which seemed appropriate at the time!! "I will survive" of course an essential but "Young at heart" my divorce time because I felt SOOOOO liberated & bloody happy!! As for car seat, had to get it and dd safety an essential!
