i used to get the jehova's at my door as well it happened for about a month every few days different people every time getting more and more anxy by each visit and trying to tell me how wrong i was ...they never did win that arguement and eventaully gave up before me ...i miss them some days ...sigh

i like discussing differing beliefs but it has to be a mutual respecting discussion not a slanging match ...they went for slanging i tore them to shreds ...oh well just waiting for the mormons now ...now them i really can get my teeth into *manic laughter ensuing* har har har

Ll, I had a couple of lovely Mormons the other day, a German lad, and a young guy from Utah. Told them I'd be interested in finding out more, but made it clear I was happy in my path. They even offered to come over help with any little jobs I needed doing!! Quite sweet, but never came back....it comes to something when even Moromns don't come back...

I wonder why they all seem so miserable though? I mean, it's a cruel god who says you can't be a follower AND show a bit of happiness now and again.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

They have to take it seriously. Otherwise they'd go to Hell and die...

PMSL @ go to hell & die

I can't imagine getting so het up over something that may or may not be complete rubbish! They were nice lads, I was interested to see what differences there were me being raised a Roman Catholic (you want misery & hellfire? You're in the right place!). Think I went for Pagan as it's pretty much pick-n-mix. Trouble is they got me on the day I after a very good psychic friend of mine passed on......Not a good day t ask me about mysticism or spiritualism....

LOL course you can have some sangria - plenty in the bottle!

As for Jehova's... my dad once married one (think it was wife number 3 of 5...) and oh boy was she a barrel of laughs... (sarcasm in case you hadn't guessed...) I'm pagan too and follow my own path and now I LOVE when they coem knocking on my door - tit for tat I say - they can have 10 minutes of my time IF I can have 10 minutes of their time to tell them about my faith... fair right? hehehehehe
I once had a very good debate with a local minister (you know... a normal one) who was to his credit taking the time to go out and meet people in his parish - and I was digging my front flowerbed and welcomed the distraction. We had a really nice chat and in the end mutually agreed to disagree about things.
I think my favourite part was near the end when he asked if I'd at least agree that with less people believing in God or religion that the world was a worse place. And I replied that no I didn't think so... religious wars aside - when Adam and Eve had 2 sons, one killed the other - that knocked out 25% of the worlds population - even atomic bombs NOW can't do that in ONE strike.

Was a good debate have to say :)

Exact same story here. She told me I was going to hell, and I went, and it took years to get out.

I suppose school is like that for most people.
