  • I have just read the whole diary. I couldn't sleep so it seemed like the logical thing to do.

Its been such an interesting read! and so funny, I just think its so unfair you are paying scumbag's debts and this is really petty but your FIL nicked your computer that really annoyed me. Thought your wedding was lovely tho and welldone on getting rid of the old lady magnet shop. you really changed from that point on.

now thankfully I am tired! so will go to bed see you soon - I will now be a regualr if that's ok!

Morning guys, thanks for all the lovely comments. Glad I can make some people giggle. No, it's not fair, but the end of the day, stamping your feet makes no differnece to your situation. Yup, this latest overpayment appears to e kosher, so ho hum but at least it's sorted. No sand heading here!!!

Well done on the new life Chev, soooo jealous. Our move to Florida is going on in the background, having to do all the background work to make sure we have a good standard of living. We reckon on 4-5 years realistically. Give te Americans chanvce to get their economy working gain lol.

Right, must crack on, got to separate hubby and daughter who are rowing over the last box of choco snaps.

Have a cheap day, and if I don't get on later, tday's tip is to clean out your jewellery box. Get rid of all thse odd earrings, stuff you were given and hate, or stuff you don't wear. Sort out the remaning pairs, give everything a clean with a soft toothbrush.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

    Hi oberon,
Hope you dont mind me hijacking your thread but in addition to your daily tip-if you find any silver or gold odd earrings, broken chains etc-post them off to these guys:-http://www.andrewsmetals.co.uk/introduction.htm (i have no connection to them so this is not an advert that helps me!) i use them for my sterling silver scraps from my jewellery, post the bits off and you will get a cheque in usually 1 or 2 days. Hope you make a few quid!!

Hey Mabel, top tip lady! Great find, tonight I'm having a look through my box to see what like. I'm well, just snuck on to check my emails whilst the kids are napping/stuck on Fireman Sam.

Well I have miserably failed to buy a dress for a wedding but I am sorted for wedding in a month, just need another dress for November so it's not an issue... I DID buy a tea mug from Bodum for £4 (for loose tea which I love but never make a whole pot so never get :( ) and 2 books on Origami from Books, one for £3.99 and one for £4.99 which isn't too bad I think... There are loads of ideas for boxes you can fold as well as the usual paper managerie :)
Now I'm off to Aylesbury to go to Wilkinsons for stuff to make wine (yay!) and Aldi for Ice Tea and maaaaaayby some sangria as a treat for meeeeeee! hehehehe

Houston we have returned to Casa Del Tine after a successful mission! We have Iced Tea, Sangria (poured in glass with ice cubes as can't wait for bottle to chill...) wine making junk and.... A RICE STEAMER!! Get in!
I have been eyeing up the one in Argos for £20 hoping it would go down to £10 as it regularly does and As I was happily hopping round in Lidl (I always get the two mixed up!) there in front of me was... A Rice cooker steamer thing for £10 and it is stainless steel looking and has non stick inner thingy so it's perfect! YAY for me!

And to really top it off I made it home and in JUST in time to salvage my washing from the line before the rain started! *small victory dance*

So... feet up, I'll unpack the shopping in a bit - right now I'm enjoying having a whole day that's not gone wrong!!!

Woo Hoo @ Tiney - good job lady. Nice work on the rice coker - we don't eat enough rice to warrant one really! How did the golf go? And can I have a glass of sangria too?

Um, no, that's not the Fran Plan!! You can try praying to whatever God you believe in to sort out your money troubles, but personally I'd rather have a multicoloured spreadsheet, an Ebay account and a bit of get-up-and-go.

"class members look for opportunities to share their faith and to invite others to church or into a relationship with Christ." Translation - they turn up on people's doorsteps at tea-time and insult them if they're not Christian....

I had a pair of Jehovah's on my doorstep the other day, and their opening gambit was 'What do you think of this rise in Mysticism'. Bearing in mind I'm pagan, this was red rag to a bull. Mr Obi's a staunch Anti-Christian - show him a Jehovah's and I'll show you a puddle of gloop where a Jehovah's was. Me on the other hand am more than happy to learn about other faiths, but OMG, this woman could not have been more insulting. She left me a book about all the faiths, that basically read 'Here's what other people believe, and here's why they're all deluded, and will burn in Hell'. She then proceeded to show me whre the Bible says George Bush is the Devil, and then her mate piped up some rubbish about me not believing in God. I told her - I do beleive, but maybe not the God you believe in. And I set her staright about the whole devil-worshipping, running round hills naked and sacrifiing goats thing too. I'm pagan, not some nudist animal-fiddling weirdo.

It's a shame I'm not more naughty - Mr Obi loves a bit of Christian baiting and has some cracking lines about 'Finding Jesus' (didn;t know I'd lost him/Why, doesn't he know where he lives?/Crikey, don't want to follow a god that wanders off?/have you tried writing his name and address in his y-fronts? etc etc etc)

Oooh, they really do my head in. If I want a dose of religion, I'll watch the myriad of evangelical channels Virgin shove down my cable cheers. Probably accompnaied by a glass of wine and a healthy sense of humour.
