Can someone who actually done it confirm that they will receive vouchers at the new rate i.e. 120 miles per £2.50 of vouchers rather than the usual 60 miles per £2.50 of vouchers.

I currently have £57.50 worth of vouchers and will convert the whole lot if I would be getting the new rate.

The extra Bonus miles will be added to your airmiles account in a separate transaction within 28 days of the standard Airmiles being awarded. So you will get 1380 miles initially and another 1380 miles added at a later date.
  • I received my clubcard vouchers in the post this week. Does anyone know if I could 'cancel' them as I'd really like to exchange my points for airmiles instead, or is it too late once they've been sent?

You need your clubcard vouchers to be able to get your miles.

You have to order your miles from the tesco clubcard reward site.
You dont need to cancel them.

just for an experiment I worked out the cost for a room for 10 nights at circus circus (the cheapest) in las vegas. To get it free you would need almost £250 in cc vouchers even at double rates. To book direct with no promotion codes would be £254. No saving at all really, same as if you used the vouchers off your groceries and the money you would have spent on food to book the hotel.
Anybody else found a deal worth doing?

Tesco are getting more pernickety , about rolling over expired vouchers too so watch out for ones that are about to expire because it just depends if you get a good person in the call centre and if they are willing to go that extra mile or just spout T&C's about expiry dates etc. ... in the last week I have experienced both.... ask for Jim - ha! he was brill.

another way to extend the dates is a partial spend they will refund the difference to your account giving you another 2 years of saving.

Once you have the airmiles they are yours to spend as you like.

I was also going to raise the point about small redemptions & refunds back to CC. I often do this. I've got some larger vouchers so if anyy get close to expiring I just buy spend £2.50 on a restaurant voucher (per clubcard voucher). Just do it as separate transactions.

I booked my hotel from the Air Miles web site.
There is an icon for hotels. Just click on that, type in your destination and the selection is there for you.
I checked the Ryanair site for dirt cheap flights first then checked Airmiles for suitable hotels.
You might not get the flight dates you want or the hotel you want in an ideal world but we are flying in March (Tuesday to Tuesday) and have a 4* hotel booked ( which we stayed in last year using the same method and are perfectly happy with) so we are well satisfied.
On checking the Ryanair web site for hotels a week's stay at our chosen hotel would work out at around £280 so I think I am getting good value for the 5,500 Air Miles I am using.

No doubt a cleverer mathematician than me will be along soon to let me know if I have got a good deal but my wife and I are extremely happy.
