Oooh, that sounds lovely. I'm so excited! It's my Mum's birthday on New Years day & my cousin's 21st in January, so my Grandma is paying for us all to stay in the hotel and have the rhasul mud treatment. We'll need a bit of pampering after christmas. I've been doing all my xmas shopping, and buying all Grandma's pressies too, so I'm gonna need a break.

I thought I would update this with my experience

I bought vouchers back in August for the Purity Spa at the Park Lane Hilton, but kind of forgot about them. They arrived promptly, no chasing required, but realistically, were just a sheet of paper, printed out on a normal printer. But no mention of the price, or name, it wasn't as bad as some of the others mention above.

I emailed them a week ago, asking for potential dates and times to use my voucher. I wanted to go after work one day, so mentioned availability as 6-8pm weekdays, or weekends, and could they please advise the earliest opportunities that were free during these times.

I got a prompt email response, with several options for the following week. I chose one (tonight) and was offered to arrive early to use the facilities.

Upon arriving tonight, once I found a staff member I was shown to the ladies changing room (equipped with coin lockers (1 pound refundable), piles of fresh, clean towels, toiletries in the bathroom (moisturisers, shower gel etc) and changed to go to the Sauna.

This area is small, but realistically, it's not a 'spa' as such. It's a wet steam room, and a dry steam room, a couple of loungers, showers etc. Attached to a gym and fitness area. With the treatment rooms seperate.

I had the place to myself, it was almost empty Changed, used both steam rooms, had a relaxing shower, got re-dressed and went to the treatment rooms. (Hair Dryer available as well - i case anyone is wanting one!)

Had a lovely young girl, facial was pleasant, professional, and felt in no way 'budget'. It really was quite lovely....I was chuffed. The room was small, with two beds, so if there was two of you, it may be different, but I had a lovely relaxing time, and really enjoyed the young girl who gave the treatment. So much so, I gave her a tip afterwards, and my voucher, and went on my way. (although please don't think a tip is necessary, I just felt like it as I thought she had done a good job, she did say it wasn't necessary, but I said I didn't mind).

It's my weekend of treating myself in the leadup for Christmas, so I am off tomorrow to the Sens Spa for my Chakra Massage (also 10 pounds on Last minute) so I will be sure to let you know how it goes!
