Just a quick update. It all went very smoothly. Driver was very helpful and carried everything in to the kitchen. He was there dead on time. I used Ocado and they had everything in different coloured bags for different places, ie, for the freezer, store cupboard. And they take their bags back to be reused.
Thanks for everyones help. I will use them again!!
I am a complete Ocado convert. I have tried them all (Tesco/Asda/Sainsbury's in order of worst first....) and without a doubt Ocado wins hands-down. I have NEVER had a substitution, I have ALWAYS had ALL the items I have ordered and they have always turned up when they said they would, even in the snow (and sometimes have even phoned as they were in my area to offer me an earlier, delivery slot).
They are a very professional company and even the own label the goods are very good quality. I also find that the prices are VERY similar as I am more inclinded to by Waitrose own label produce (and use mysupermarket.co.uk to check).
Nothing but praise for them....0 -
Do Ocado deliver all over the country now or is it just where Waitrose have stores? If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550

Title says is all really!
We did try Sainsburys when I was expecting DS as I couldn't face going out to the supermarkets and fighting a trolley around the aisles! What put us off for future times was the delivery charge and the fact you get absolutely masses of carrier bags and also food didn't have a very long date on it (especially meat). I tend to buy a weeks worth in one go.
Does anyone have any advice to give me please?Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

I cant speak for sainburys but ( remember I work for them ) in tesco there are minimum code life allowances on most short life products and you can state No carriers and get clubcard points for this.If you are not happy with the codes just give back to the driver and you will be refunded. Also if the code is too short or you get a substitute then these are packed seperatly and the driver will ask if you want them returned. ( remember that if you get a more expensive product subbed then you get it at a cheaper price).
Best of all with all online shops you dont have to drag round the kids ( or other half) who may get distracted by shiny packaging or promotions and you should save a fortune.

I have been online shopping with Tesco for ages and have never had any problems i actually spend much less than when i used to shop instore at sainsburys. Also lots of chances to collect extra points so more savings for xmas
If you go through quidco you can save some money that.
Why not give it a try!0 -

I always start my shop with the offers section. I sometimes use mysupermarket.com for comparisons. I alternate between them all i.e. Tesco then Asda then Sainsburys then Ocado and then start again and they each send me vouchers for £5 off £50 etc to lure me back as they think I've stopped shopping with them due to the breaks. I can generally have one each time I shop.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200
