  • There seems to be lots of discounts out there, would be good to find some for the nights out we spend so much money on!? Anyone know of any good places that offer anything?
  • Loads of great offers - hadn't heard of Myunihub before - so good! definite winner for the future.
  • Hey,
I've just started using a student discount site called RecommendedBy.co.uk
It's free to sign up, and offers discount codes for loads of websites! BUT the best part is, if you share the discount pages with your friends on facebook or Twitter, and they use the link and buy something, you make money!

    Check it out!:j

    Well don't forget a young person's railcard - student's best friend!

extending on this, the 16-25 railcard you should link it up with your 18+ oyster card if you live in London and you'll get cheaper rates as well! :D

its saved me a lot of money last year!

that's lucky our local mcdonalds is so strict, it has to be the nus extra or nothing.. sad times when i am drunk and need some sobering food..
  • Its so annoying that some discounts are only for NUS members. My uni isn't in the NUS so we don't get their offers online. I now use a couple of places online like RecommendedBy.co.uk, which has discounts which you get paid to share, and classics like StudentBeans.com. Any other site suggestions?

H and M don't do student discounts as they know your going to shop there anyway. Classic supply and demand!
  • The best time to clothes shop is the start of each term, shops like Miss Selfridge and Topshop know that students have just got their loans and usually do student lock ins with 20% off for a couple of nights only.
Also brave soul.co.uk is a new clothing website which is really cheap and they offer discount codes from time to time, which I have been getting from their Facebook page. They also do 10% student discount with the code NUS10 :j.
ASOS is annoying because you need an NUS number and even though I'm a student I don't have one I just have a normal student card, but there is no way of typing that into the checkout codes :(.
  • Lots of discounts around just now including 10% student discount at Phase Eight and 50% sale and free delivery at Urban Outfitters for students through Recommendedby.co.uk
