Done the family room and managed to upset myself. Dragged out the bag with all the paperwork left from Nan and thought I'll sort all that out and just keep the few bits I need to. Feeling a bit sensitive as AF is here and I've managed to really make myself sad. Still it is now all done and not cluttering up the corner. Christmas without her is going to be really tough for me. By now she'd have been phoning at least once a week to check what was happening :(

I kept the cards from my gran and I put them up every year still even though it will be 5 years this December since she died. I also dread New Year.. I used to welcome in the new year while on the phone to her.. I was always first to wish her happy new year.. I miss her so very much then!

I hope my grandchildren miss me as much as I miss her.

    Big hugs xxx

ooh.. thanks.. I need to check out 6th form evenings for DD1..

Well I'm back as I said I would be after the school run :D

    Pigpen -
    1. I don't envy you decorating the landing was it? I did that and the hallway, stairs, living and dining rooms all in one go last week and the weekend before. I had the time off of work to do it and was soooooooooooo glad to go back on Monday for a rest.

Had to be done though. I ripped up all the carpet and underlay in said rooms/areas as I was having them replaced. Little Bruv's treat to me before he went away again.
So glad I did it all though. As a) the carpets and underlay were more disgusting than disgusting can be and b) the house looks soooooo much better now. Much more homely and cosy and warm. Well worth the hard work. Still not finished the bathroom though:o Why do the smallest rooms take the longest?

    2. I now know why my landlord has not fixed the leaky guttering above my bedroom window. £500? Didn't realise it was that much. Having said that. he gets enough in rent and he still hasn't fixed the conservatory. Been six months now!!

greenbee - thank you for that:rolleyes::p

Right off to find me list. Anyone want a HHC 4.00 - 4.30?

    Hello everyone - especially Dusty!

Dusty - potentially off to Ikea tomorrow if DH has finished with man flu. Let me know if you want this bit picking up and posting or can it wait till w/c 23rd Nov when I am down your way for the next consultations?

Toots - Project Crocus was a non-runner sadly. Work is rather scarce atm, the stuff I am busy with is my PT job, so overtime but not great pay.

Tag - good to see you back (again)

Must go and get on with something. Kitchen first I think. May boot DH out of bed so I can wash the sheets.
