Her family and friends dont seem very supportive.

If my sisters slagged me off in the national press, I don't think they'd find me that supportive either.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Exactly and if she starts slagging off the locals at her next property she may find that the negativity follows her there as well.

    This is the EA article.

She is not endearing herself to those she needs to be on her side when selling with comments like the above. How dippy can she be?

She should have left the Slagging off EA's article until she had completed a sale.........maybe she had nothing else to write about last week. Wonder what the pay was for the above.
Estate agents. Spawn of Satan, or hard-working, knowledgeable folk who have been having a hard time of it these past two years? I’ve just put my farm on the market. Like a woman who has given birth to a giant breach baby, I had forgotten the pain of my last house move, from North London to deepest Somerset.

When I made that move, I swore I’d never do it again. But, finding myself resolutely single, and with a growing menagerie of animals, I now find I need a much smaller house, and a bit more land.

And so I have plunged head- first into the mire that is the property market, where men are called Jasper and the women are blonde and stupid and inevitably work part-time.

Lots of comments like the following
To paraphrase - How, honestly, does this cack-handed moron manage a thing?

After how many articles about her immense debts and her current property not on the market, yet she wonders at not being called back by estate agents.

Needing the services of an estate agent(s) to make the switch in her living circumstances she wishes, she proceeds to rubbish the entire profession.

Stark raving are the words that come to mind.

Well all I can say is well done Estate Agent. When we sold a house many years ago we told the EA that we wouldn't even show it to someone unless they had their house on the market and had potential buyers. WE also said that we would not consider any offer from a person unless the EA was happy they had sold their own property and were in a position to move.

I'm not sure what the Hous ebuying equivalent of a 'tyre kicker' is but we didn't want to waste time showing the house to anyone who was merely browsing, we had a house to move to and were on a short time frame.

The EA still sent people round some of them without even getting full details from them, one couple bought a full extended family merely because the house was unusual and they lived nearby and always wanted to see what these houses were like inside.

Taken from the EA article comments bit

Please don't let this dreadful woman move to Taunton - its bad enough she is currently on Exmoor. What I don't understand is she is supposed to be nearly bankrupt but I suppose after all the begging she has done through her newspaper column asking for money - and getting it from people who could least afford to give, she can now go swanning off to India and look for another house. Please Daily Mail get rid of this awful so called Columnist. She is so out of date with reality its a joke,. talk about Wicked Witch of the West.

    :rotfl:

Who wants to take a bet that when she moves, she has problems with her new neighbours, treating her like crap. No? Don't blame you :D

But the 'You' magazine in Mail on Sunday (which carries Liz's diary on the back page) has the bestest recipe photography ever and good horoscopes too.

Anyways....this week she writes about her lost equity. It's all a bit vague and she doesn't give any figures but, it would seem there could be nothing left to buy another smallholding and she implies that she may be unable to get another mortgage.
So. My mission is to find a small cottage with enough room for four collies and 17 cats, land for the horses and sheep, a couple of stables, a yard, and direct riding on to the moor and the forest.

My slight problem is my enormous mortgage.

If I buy somewhere cheap, presumably I have to pay it off. Sums, it has to be said, are not my strong point, which is probably why I’m in the mess I’m in at the moment. Given my debts and the plummeting property market, the equity on my house has virtually been wiped out.

Which means that after 30 years of working hard, of never having a holiday (some people wrote asking how I could afford to go skiing earlier this year; I’d been assigned to go by a travel magazine, which meant I had to write about it. Who in their right mind would want to go skiing on their own?), I have nothing, nothing, nothing. I don’t even have any furniture because the puppies have eaten it. Oh dear.

I wonder how it will pan out.

She has made her own decisions. From self-cert for a top end London house with high interest rates, to all her top-end high spend luxury consumption, the suspect marriage with lover-boy, to the play at running a farm. Then thinks she's entitled to whine to everyone about how all the fallout is other people's fault - rarely her own.

I don't think that is her farm fc, sadly. It doesn't seem to tally with where I got a fix on it. Well your picture 6 is what causes me the most doubt as access to her farm seems to be much different. That place is probably close by though.

Here are two previous owners of her farm.

I bet they seldom complained about their circumstances.
