DD is doing loads of diff topics for GCSE history including Palestine. I think 5 topics with other wars too.
She is struggling with it all TBH.
Her friend in London is just doing 'Medicines through time' and that's it....if DD understood it correctly.0 -

I think, tbf, I recall some tudor history going on. but pre GSCE.
And, we had the choice of Thw Wall street Crash or something to do with Russia, and we picked the wall street crash..
but yes, loads of wars. Especially because at the time GCSE English also spent a LONG time over the better known War Poets.
Its like a preparation for profound despair into adulthood.0 -

All I can really remember is covering George Orwell's 1984 in 1984!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Do you think your son's loaded Wall Street banker Godfather might help you with a deposit on a small pad?:D Would be soooo sweet of him to help his godson.:A:D If he's loaded it's the least he could do!:T
It would be nice, wouldn't it.I'll keep my fingers crossed for his university fees...
How are you, pp - we all thought you'd been banned?
Or did you just go because you realised everyone on here disliked you?0 -

Oh how very sweet of you to have been thinking about me! I've come over all giddy with excitement to think I've been on your mind!:j
To put you out of your misery, Carol, I wasn't banned - I was bored.Bored of reading your drivel and wishful thinking.......your wishful thinking that everyone is going to lose all their money and their homes, so that YOU can swoop in like a vulture!:rotfl:
It's actually you who is immensely disliked on here!:D Except for the hgandful of like-minded 'bitter ones' who fret over other people's wealth, most people on here can see right through your doom and gloom posts.
I'm only amazed that you're still waffling on.............. You clearly don't get bored easily singing from the same tired old sheet. You'll still be at it in the Old Folks Home:A
Anyway, for one such as yourself who claims to find money and wealth evil and vulgar - it sure impresses you to think your Wall Street mate is loaded! Doesn't it, eh?! That's if it's true of course! Could be one large figment of your very vivid imagination!:rotfl:
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too that your son gets a place at uni.:rudolf: It's nice to see the optimism come out in you on occasion: usually you only foresee doom, gloom and hopelessness. You know, the whole country is going to seize up and we're all destined for severe poverty and deprivation:rotfl:
At least you won't have to worry about losing YOUR house will you?:D0 -
I actually quite like Carolt...a nice mix of humour along the more weighty posts instead of pure nastiness all the time.We made it! How true.
I see you're full of seasonal cheer, as always.
Out of interest, what made you return? Had you run out of people to insult in the real world?
BTW, if you're bored, I suggest you do a search for your name on here. Don't take my word for the esteem in which you're generally held on here.
Go on, you know you want to.0
