About me - im 32 and OH is 30. I have 3 children aged 15, 13 and 12 from previous relationship. Have been with OH for 3 years but i have never used contraception, so in the inbetween years have either been very lucky/unlucky. OH is disabled, we knew he had ankylosing sponnndylitis when we started to ttc but an mri scan in novemebr has shown he has collapsed discs, dehyrated discs, bulging discs and what looks like old sheuremanns diease. Because of this he is on umpteen tablets aday just to attempt to control pain and a clinical drug trial to help bring the AS under control. Due to the tabs he takes(sulphursalazine depletes male supplies) i were put on clomid last year to boost my eggs in the hope a bean would grow. I have had 4 months of clomid but the last one resulted in pregnancy but mc'd nye. Currently have a bmi of 34 so just slipped in the criteria of getting clomid.
On a positive note if that couple on this morning can have babies we all better get on down with the bd:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

its amazing the things life throws at people and we all just get on with it..some easier than others
i,m 29 nxt month and my H2B is 27
its sounds like you have hada struggle on your hands....i feel a bit ofd a fraud because i have 2 children ds 1 is 5 and ds2 is 14 months...so i know i can do it.
my ds1 is from my ex hubby..he was conceived very quickly in that relationship (i mean within a month or two lol) i had been very naive and silly...i had been with my ex (before the ex hubby) for over 2 years never used contraception so assumed i would have diffficulties ...i was with ex hubby for 4 yrs we never got pregnant again...not for lack of trying.
i then met my now H2B and we were old friends...we hadnt seen each other for 5 yrs but knew this was special..even tho when we had regularly spent time together the 5 yrs before there was noooo spark whatsoever lol...he came to visit me on holiday and we've been together ever since...we had talked about babies and had decided to wait a few years until we were a bit more4 settled...little did i know i was already pregnant...the thing was we only saw each other every few weeks as he lived in norfolk me in devon...my periods at that point were every 3 months but the doc didnt think i was ovulating in that time or if i was there was no way of knowing when lol.
so even tho it seems that i have easily fallen in the past it seems this time its a bit more difficult...we ahve an active sex life (sorry if tmi) so i know it isnt for lack of that...after having ds2 i didnt have AF for 6 months....now they seem to come as and when they want too...sometimes for 2 weeks at a time...so its a bit ofa hit and miss...hence the anticipation that it might not go so smoothly this time
sorry for rambling...and about your m/c my mum suffered 4 so i know how difficult that is.....she did go on to have a healthy baby tho who is now 11 and a complete little mare0 -
I honestly didnt think it would be that hard to conceive once we said we were officially trying as all the tests i had done came back that i were so fertile the consultant said he was suprised it had not already happened, event the sperm test hubby had done suprised them as the drugs are meant to deplete supplies altogether while taking them - resume to normal after 3 months without - but hubbies still came in at an excess of 20 million, we have looked into the frequency of bd, up til mc were averaging every other night, no alcohol etc, healthier diets so the clomid was the last resort. Luckily i can still have another8 months worth if needed so am going to get this af out the way, abuse the fact you are more naturally fertile after mc and see how we get on naturally before resorting to going back on the clomid as i am petrified of a mulitple pg.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

my OH is all depressed lol he used to say he had super sperm lol...now he feels its because of him lol...i really dont think thats the case lol
i guess we'll be bd a lot more now...not that thats sucha bad thing lol. saying that i dont want it to become a chore..i quite like it lol.
i know what you mean about the multiple pg...i personally havent had one and luckily they dont run in my family but i know i would rather not have one lol.
when would the doc look into fertility issues...even tho its only officially been alittle while its been a year now...i think it would be better to know then struggle for 2 years then them go...oh it never wouldve happened anyway without help...you know what i mean?0 -
Does your OH have any children at all?
We were warned that because i already have kids its too easy to slip into the blame game until investigative measures have ruled everything out. Our biggest fear was that we may just not be compatible in that area as we seem perfect in every other way.
Has your gp not mentioned placing you on a short course of the pill to regulate your AF until you can get some sort of pattern back?:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

My doctor advised me to wait a couple of cycles, feel a bit upset that ive got to wait but i know it is for the best and it gives my body a rest. (Dont like i saw that 'comment' someone made, why are some people rude??
Hope everyone is ok
HUGS to anyone who would like a hug!0 -
HI all
Just on my lunch at work! Welcome to Lolly.
I was naughty and tested this morning - nothing there although I tried to convince myself there was a feint line (it was a cheapy stick test) I think it was just the dye on the layer below where it must be before it comes through if the hcg is there. Actually ok about it, really didn't expect it and haven't been weepy at all like I was sat. No sign of AF still though so I'm still holding out some hope!
Will catch up properly tonight...Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Hi ladies, I am here lurking at the mo. No results back yet.
I'm just lurking as not had the best of weeks and to be honest af arriving on saturday I've just really had enough of it all now and really beginning to wonder why I continue to put myself through it every month and at what point do we just accept things and get on with our lives.
I know what you mean every month I wonder the same too.Despite all the bad news I am over the moon when someone gets their BFP and even more happy when it becomes apparant that everything is going ok.
We're here for the good times and the bad.
I love hearing all the good news too!
Good news from this neck of the woods is that I seem to be over my upset stomach, managed to eat (although not a lot) yesterday without any problems and again so far today! Lost 8lb in 4 daysnot my preferred method of losing weight though.
