  • Twinklie; you must let us all know how your new gadget fared! I was thinking of you tonight as we went to the Chill factor e in Manchester. OH and friend went ski ing to get some practice in before Switzerland and I was looking at all the snowboarders thinking "that looks like fun".

My PMA is actually ok at the moment; we know we can't TTC for a couple of months yet anyway so I'm just being remarkably laid back. I do think that sometimes taking a step back is hugely beneficial so can totally understand those who are thinking of doing so.

Sexkillen; don't get yourself worked up about those who milk the benefit system, I work within that area and it drives me crazy sometimes when I see them in town that I have to be dragged away by OH! Re the childcare fees; I obviously don't know your household income details but you may be eligible for help by way of tax credits which could pay 80% of your costs. Don't forget that they also disregard up to £100 of your SMP so your full income won't be taken into consideration when they assess you. As I said, I work within that area so PM me if you need any further info and I can certainly point you in the right direction.

Smartie; I'll continue to stalk you on either the under 12 weeks or the PG board so you won't escape totally. Despite all the bad news I am over the moon when someone gets their BFP and even more happy when it becomes apparant that everything is going ok.

We're here for the good times and the bad.
  • Hi all, there's a sad vibe to the thread tonight, so everyone have some ((hugs)) and take a deep breath *blows PMA & baby dust at you all*

I was sad to see AF turn up last friday for me, but now she's bogged off again (short visit this month-wonder if there's something in the air as that's happened to a few of us) I feel a bit more positive about the month. Worked out with my 26 day cycle we have 3 more goes before we're at our 1 year of ttc....

Smartie-you're a familiar face we'll be sad and happy to lose, but we will stalk you wherever thou shalt go, so don't fear ;)

Haven't really read through in great detail, though saw jacobsmum's sad news. So sorry honey :grouphug:

Night night ladies, sticky baby and bean dust to you all xx (and have fun poas in the morning twinklie!)
Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.

 hi, just popping before I go to bed. sorry to hear that everyone is having a bad day/week/few months, wish I was better in these sorts of situations but I never know what to say/write so sending lots of virtual hugs, kisses and treats (sweet/savoury).

Sexkitten I know what you mean about the whole middle income people, it annoys me too you work hard and pay your taxes earn just too much to benefit from anything but don't earn enough to not need help, ie with childcare costs, and then there are those out there that don't contribute at all and get everything handed to them on a plate. take my friend for instance. she's just had twins (pure fluke as it doesn't run on either side of the family). when she was pregnant she investigated childcare and found out that it would cost her £45/child for childcare (she gets a 10% discount off each because she'll be putting 2 in so it should have been £50 each). she worked out that they'd be worse off financially if she went back to work after tax/petrol etc when paying for nursery so to keep her foot in the door and to make sure she got her maternity pay she sorted out going back 1 day a week. unfortunately her twins were born 14 weeks premature and both have chronic lung disease amongst other things and now her twins can't go into nursery until they're at least 2 which means she can't go back to work (she can't rely on family to help 1 day/week) and becasue she is not going back straight after her maternity leave then she will have to pay back her maternity pay. sorry for the long rant but I really feel for my friend and its the last thing she should have to be worrying about when her babies are still in hospital.

sorry brought the vibe back down again......

smartie I hope you will pop in from time to time but understand if you feel you can't. for me I like to hear of the success stories, it makes me feel like that it isn't all hopeless and it does happen for people, but then I haven't been ttc as long as others on this thread so I hope that that doesn't offend anyone

well cd10 for me and started using my FR OPK's today, negative so far but then I assume my cycle is 27 days (even though the last couple were 30 and 23 each) so am expecting to ovulate around Friday and OH is back from his business trip then so hopefully will be getting the BD'ing in time, just hope this month isn't going to be another short cycle

right well off to bed, night night xx

Fuzz. I don't know whats worse, a heavy flow or a light really crampy one?! You deserve the biccies and the chocolate hun, enjoy ((hugs))
I'd say crampy one is worse, but at this particular moment in my life, any AF would be good, as I think I didn't ovulate this month:cry:
CD20, and temp only went up one day on CD18:rolleyes:

It's been a stressful month, with moving and hubby stressful with his new position in new place (same job though).

To make things worse, I'll be miles away (have work, couldn't relocate), so no more BDing until April:undecided

Me and my OH have still not had THAT discussion about whether or not we are going to keep ttc or if we are going to plan our wedding. Our little Wiglet would have been due on 15th February and I think I just want to try one last time to get a BFP before that date. I think i'm now due to test again on 12th February....so i'm going to be lovely to live with that weekend :D...
    Kkxx
Perhaps plan your wedding, and put TTC to rest, but just not use protection?

Right ladies. I'm going to take charge of PMA corner then! I'm very excited....I get to POAS for the first time in the morning and watch the machine do it's business. I'm soooooooooo excited!
I'm thinking of getting the Clearblue fertility monitor too (that's what you have?). Come on, give us a review! Please!:j
  • QQuaver I think your in a similar position as me and Twinklie with a OH a million miles away :( So your not alone on that one.

But in a weird little ramble - I was buying well acquiring some items for my best friends buno in el oveno with the vertbudet(or howevers it spelt) code thats knocking around and asked my oh for his opinion of a pair of baby pjs(fancy name for a babygrow imho) who then got very excitable (we were on msn and webcam and talking on the phone at the same time in case any one was wondering) as id sent him a link to a blue babygrow who then asked me had i tested and was he gonna be a daddy erm no I havent tested but thanks for paying attention to what i said i was buying darling :rotfl:
and more to the point if i had tested i wonder how fast he thinks you find out the sex
Ramble over now (although he reaction was kind of amazing so heres hoping af stays away like she has been for a few days now)
Could you be my sunshine on a cloudy day?
Could you be my yellow when im feeling grey?
  • Good morning all,

Woke up feeling a bit more positive i think i needed some sleep! Anyways did my test and BFN as i thought. I am 99% sure i am not pregnant as last time (before mc) it showed up by this time.

So i will test again in a few days if no sign of af but it seems im lsoing weight for the next 6 months or so!

Not as disappointed as i thought i would be but it may hit me later.

Hope you all have a fantastic day.

    Will lurk from work!

We can keep each other to waiting til the weekend to test! My testing list date is next tues but if af hasn't turned up I might test Sat when DH is around. I'm now a bit confused as I look at the 'in detail' bit of FF and it is saying my CM pattern shows me to have ov'd day 16-18 but the temp showed CD14. I think it's because I probably mistook leftover pre-seed for CM (sorry if tmi!)

OK, it's a deal :D Neither one of us is allowed to POAS, PIAC, or P anywhere else apart from directly into the loo until the weekend :p FF says I should test next Thursday, but that's too damn far away for me. AF is due Sunday, so I'm going to test then if she's not turned up. Starting to get crampy feelings already though, so I do suspect she is on her way...

And now I must get on with some work and stop checking the "charts like mine" on FF to see how many resulted in a BFP and getting my hopes up too much :o

Sorry for being cheeky and insensitive, Fuz. I'm not always fabulous with the more upsetting news on this site...I try and use humour to deflect from the sadness but on a forum, it probably comes across as some tactless Timmy Mallett style goofing.

    I don't mean it, ladies <<<HUG>>>
Hey don't worry I'm the same plus I have Rhino skin(as in thick, not scaly:p) anyway so I probs wouldn't notice if anything was said:o and I certainly wouldn't take it the wrong way:)

Actually I think it's time for me to leave as I'm feeling guilty IYKWIM:o

Been here so long and didn't think I would be needing to leave. Hopefully I wont be needing to return but if I do I know I'll be welcome.

I don't even know if I can lurk anymore because it's not doing me any good feeling guilty... so if I could be PM'd with any important news that would be great :)
    :(:(:(:( I understand:(:(:(:( But I shall be stalking thee:p

:ranton:So there we are. We both work full time, but the government punish us for working by taking our taxes off us and giving to jobless layabouts who have never worked a day in their life and pop out one kid a year by different dads, whilst having damn free laptops and god knows what else thrown at them. Might as well send them to our offices on payday and we hand them the cash ourselves  It makes me feel physically sick :rantoff
Oof! Don't get me started on thise rickin lay abouts who get handed a house they don't have to pay for, that they don't look after and fill it with a billion kids all with different parentage and STILL think the country owes THEM something:mad::mad::mad: Little f$£%$£rs:mad::mad::mad:

    Thanks.
I do think about visiting him when I'm ov'ing, but with my unreliable cycle, it's probably a waste of money.
who then asked me had i tested and was he gonna be a daddy erm no I havent tested
