    Hi ladies

Not sure if I am officially part of the gang yet but will be keeping you all updated regardless because we're all in the same boat and I can't bear the pitying looks from friends when they ask me if there's 'any news' so don't discuss my TTC with them too much.

Well took my first OV test today, obviously it was a -ve cos it's only CD10 but was still excited to see a line (just the line to prove it worked sadly). Is that wrong? God I'm so excited at the thought of seeing a +ve OV test what will I be like if i'm ever lucky enough to get a BFP PG test...? :rotfl:

    Hello again,

Hope everyone is feeling a little happier today - not been a particularly happy month overall but it's nowhere near over yet...plenty of time for the bfps to flood in (worst wording ever but you know what I mean.)

Was thinking about how ironic this need to create life is...it consumes us completely at times and saps the life OUT of us through trying so hard.

Taking a (hopefully temporary) step back from the forum and ttc or upping (ov) sticks if you will, is such a good idea because of the intensity of this forum IYSWIM. Take a breather, reflect, live life away from fertility stuff and hopefully be ready for another attempt. Just make sure you come back and update. Which remonds me... If KENCOKENCO is out there, I really hope you are okay x... always wondered how you got on as your story was what got me addicted to this thread in the first place.

Sending hugs to all the ladies out there feeling defeated and deflated. xx

If we compare ourselves with micro organisms, we are meant to be obsessed with procreation:cool:

Can't help with the post-ovulation spotting, Mrsmc. Sorry.

Dusty, I think you are a fixture on this thread now...and no, not wrong to get excited by an ov test +...especially pleasing after poas 4 days in a row.

Does your OH have any children at all?

Has your gp not mentioned placing you on a short course of the pill to regulate your AF until you can get some sort of pattern back?

he has one from a previous relationship they then got pregnant again but she terminated (not OH choice) then his other ex got PG but she lost it :(...lord that makes him sound a right tart lol
plus my 14 month is also his :).....hence why he thinks he has super sperm lol.

my gp just said that she thought it was PCOS and to get tested but im just waiting for the blood result back, the scan came back clear.
she just advised me to lose weight :( which im trying but is hard !

    thanks for all the welcomes

Well although i not trying yet ( many may remember hubby and i have decided to wait till end of year for lots of reason) , the broodiness has just started to subside. i still really want more children. but it isn't getting to me like it was. I feel quite proud of myself. However hubby said last night, how much he would love to have another baby now and wishes we could start trying sooner. I feel so lucky to have a hubby who does get broody and who also wants lots more kiddies wth me. but i now feel bad that i'm the one who is saying lets wait. we both agreed to wait, due to alot of family commitments this year plus a holiday in oct. And we both know it the right choice, but part of me in now thinking , should we just start trying, because you never knows whats around the corner. Sorry for waffling ladies.

My OH has no children of his own, hence why we were advised not to go down the its your fault/ my fault scenario. His ex told him for years she was ttc but turned out she was on the injection as was having an affair and only wanted him to keep paying the bills and a roof over her head, she even went to the extreme of kitting out a spare room as a nursery with furniture, clothes, bottles the works knowing it was a thread in which to hold him by. We wont buy anything until i get into the 'safe zone' as i dont want either of us filled with false hope.

As you are only just on the first rung of the ladder of ttc lolly theres plenty more that can and will be done along the way. I also am aware that carrying excess weight can also be seen as a hinderance but i see so many 'big gals' with babies around there cant be that much in it surely? i have gained a lot of weight since being with OH and like you advised to lose it but short of starving myself it wont shift - before i got with OH i barely ate one meal a day let alone 3 so i know this is why i have gained weight not through eating unbalanced meals.
