I love gadgets. You should have seen me when we got the new washing machine. I kept stroking it. OOOOH and the fridge!!!!!
Hello Lolly1981 - nice to meet you :hello: I haven't been here long either but I think you'll be okay as long as you're a little bit mad and don't mind TMI!!!!!

hello ladies
Hugs to all those that AF has caught up with them and hello to those new visitors, even though i'm still new myself. :j
I get to start ov testing tomorrow for the first time, it's CD 10 for me but as MMC says my cycles are average 35 days I'm not expecting to ov until late next week.
Me and OH are having a romantic weekend away this weekend to Hackness in Yorkshire so would be lovely if I was oving for then.
As said before he works nights so as he is coming in from work in the morning i am leaving, we then don;t see each other again til the following morning. Really only BD on a weekend.(sorry - TMI).
Have decided that if I ov during week we HAVE to make time to BD, even if it means being late for work. Lol, try explaining that to my boss!
Anyway, can't wait to finally get this TTC ball rolling.
Sticky baby vibes to all..xx0 -
*comes out of lurkdom to say: Smartie don't leave us
You have no need to feel guilty - you've been around this thread for ages, if anyone deserves it you do (of course everyone does but YKWIM)
No news to report here. CD21 6DPO and (takes a deep breath) we're considering stopping TTC if we haven't hit the jackpot this month
We had a friend over the weekend who has just gone back to work part time now her son is 15 months old and was telling me how expensive childcare is. I had NO idea!!! It would cost the exact monthly wage i'm bringing in to put our child into nursery. There is no way we can survive on DH's wage monthly - it wouldn't even cover the bills so I can't see how we can do it. I can't afford to work and I can't afford not to!
There is nothing more we can cut back on and i've had a play around on entitled to but it's a bit !!!!! TBH, it needs figures I wouldn't even know about at the moment.
All we can do is work hard on paying off our debts, but i'd estimate that will take us a good 7-10 years, then i'll be over 40 :-(
:ranton:So there we are. We both work full time, but the government punish us for working by taking our taxes off us and giving to jobless layabouts who have never worked a day in their life and pop out one kid a year by different dads, whilst having damn free laptops and god knows what else thrown at them. Might as well send them to our offices on payday and we hand them the cash ourselves  It makes me feel physically sick :rantoff
SK xAfter 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

Big hug to all that need esp Jacobsmum
Smartie, dont be a stranger and please don't feel guilty, i'm sure you have had heartche before as some ladies here are experiencing but don't feel bad as you are baking something precious.
So i am now late by a couple of days but to be honest i think my af is late (did a poas and got a bfn this eve)
Not so surprised but will test again over weekend if no sight of af, just wish the body wouldn't be so cruel and would get on with af if it is coming!
Thinking about it last year this time i did not have a af in Jan was convinced i was pregnant. Went drs and they did a test got a bfn and they said to come back in 2 weeks if no af, well guess who reared their ugly head.
So maybe in jan i will miss my af?
Feel a bit rubbish today as me and oh had a chat and we are thinking about giving ttc a break until summer as i need to lose some weight. I want to really focus on it.
Also i don't want to go drs to be referred ( we would have been tying for a yr by then) and be told we won't be referred until i lose weight so want to get ahead of the game. I am not massively overweight but i think i am over the guidlines
I think next month maybe our last try until Jul/Aug i will be on here (lurking) who knows my head is all over the place so sorry for the ramble.

Gosh, its very negative in here tonight.
Smartie -please dont feel guilty and think you have to leave us. You're a good source of knowledge and wisdom for the thread. And certainly dont feel guilty about being pregnant. Isn't that what we're all aiming for? Sometimes its nice to have a success story.
sexki11en - if everyone waited until they were financially sound to have a baby nobody would have one. I know what you mean by being annoyed about some people getting all the financial help - some people make full time job out of working the system. Its not fair. Don't give up though. There's always a way to make things work. Perhaps you could return to work part-time or use a cheaper childminder.
jacobsmum - I'm sorry to hear your news.
And everyone else who's thinking of leaving/giving up - big hugs. I hope your PMA returns soon.
I nearly burst into tears on the train today because a little boy said 'mummy' and it made me think about how much I want to be 'mummy' and how it might never happen. I know its only been a couple of months for me, but I'm starting to get how this takes over your life and kind of hate my friends who get pregnant on the first attempt.
I want to say something inspirational and life changing or even helpful, but can't think of anything clever.
Sticky baby dusty to those who want it.
By the way, I'm totally SSing even though I know I cant be pregnant. How mad is that?0 -
Right I'm not even joking. What is going on with my body. My AF normally last 6 days and is heavy for 4 and spotting/light for 2. This time I've had 2 heavy days and 2 days spotting and done! I'm confused with my body. Not to mention my boobs are hurting again!!! ALREADY! What's it all about Alfie??
My friend is still bleeding but has an appointment at EPU tomorrow. Thing they are giving her a scan. So despite what she's said, I'm going to keep everything crossed for her. It ain't over till the fat lady sings... I've not said that to her though for obvious reasons.
I'm so tired, I need a weekend of rest. But DH will be home this weekend and no doubt he'll drive me nuts and be very time consuming like a small child. Ha ha ha. I do love him loads though.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Twinklie i used to have really bad af. I would bleed heavy for 7 days then stop no light flow at all i would need towels and tampons and still leak after an hour or two. Then over time it has settled so i get one heavy day and two light and its all over.
As Penny said earlier im getting sick of this spotting/bleeding malarky. The past two days it has been a very light pink and only noticable when i wipe nothing on pads at all but today i go pad free, go for a meal with family to celebrate OH'S nans birthday and get home to find im having what looks like a light af again. Im now contemplating which is easier - to wait for bleeding to stop on its own or go to dr and ask to be sent for dnc bleed at least a week more while body settles down and then get jiggy with the hubby. Its all too confusing and i dont know what to do for the best.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j
