moneysaver12;sorry if you have explained elsewhere but why do you have to have the rubella booster???? I had it when I was much yougner and I must admit that I haven't given it a second thought since...is it absolutely vital that you have it.

Again, apologies if you have explained before and I missed it.

Thanks for the info confuzzled and monesavyer.

I have only been trying for 3 years so perhaps I should be moving onto the other thread!. I have had one failed IVF treatment and waiting to be called up for next one any month now. Luckily I have been told I have time on my side as only being 32 but it is depressing when you see all your friends with babies.

Not sure on all the terminology whats TMI? Took me weeks to work out what AF meant.

    TMI, means too much information.

    too much information.!

There is a list on the first page of this thread but the odd one still crops up!

Sorry but I have no experience of IVF. The 12m+ board ladies are all lovely and have vast experience of all things TTC related.

Good luck and welcome to the TTC forums; it's a great place to rant and a mine of information.

    Hello jujugaboo (great name)

It can and does go off-topic but essentially this thread is for those trying to conceive a baby and supporting members through the many highs and lows. It could be their 1st or 10th child, it doesn't matter. Members are mostly female but I'm sure there are some male lurkers too. (:hello: hi boys)
I think most of us are using natural methods by trying to identify our most fertile times pin-pointing ovulation and getting down to the nitty gritty;). The ttc 12 months + thread has more ladies going in for assisted fertility (IVF etc)

You'd be more than welcome to join...it is a lovely supportive and topical thread where there's no such thing as too much information. :rotfl:

The rubella booster is needed if you are not immune to rubella. I had mine done when i was younger but it must have warn off. Normally you are immune for life but it can happen that it wares off. If you are not immune and you are pregnant and you come in to contact with someone who has mumps, mesales (sp) then it can harm your unborn baby. If you are pregnant already then you can't have the booster as it is a live virus and it would harm baby.

Aw Fuz, I understand completely...the milestone is becoming a millstone.
