Slightly changing topic now but can anyone recommend a sanitary towel/pad i can wear that does not cause any irritation?

Usually when AF shows i use tampons as i hate towels at the best of times but now after 3 weeks of wearing them they are really getting on my wick, they are making me sore and itchy and it is a relief to have a bath and not be wearing one - i feel atm as tho im constantly walking a step and consciously scratching layers of skin off cos its soooo agrevating. Apologies if this is tmi but i genuinely hope someone can help.

I have gone through Always with and with out wings, Asda own ultra towels, Bodyform, and at min am using pantyliners to try a cover as little as poss but still absorb iykwim. Am getting more peeved with the irritation now than the actual spotting which is only noticable when i wipe.

Am hoping dr dont tell me i need a dnc cos i cant handle any more prolonged bleeding.

Huge hugs to those in need today. So many of us know just how you are feeling, you are never alone that is for sure!

Jacobsmum, so terribly sorry to read your sad news, not much more I can add. I'll PM you at a more appropriate time, x

Stef, have you considered going for reusable pads? That is what I ended up doing when in your position - I soon got used to throwing them in the wash and still have them now as they are so soft and comfy. Something to consider if you do end up needing to use something for a while longer, but here's hoping that won't be the case. PM me if you have any questions or see me over on the 12+ board, x
  • Hi everyone.

So sorry to jacobsmum; I have nothing more to add aside from to say that I'm thinking of you. Please look after yourself. x

I hope no one thinks this is insensitive but I do think that we sometimes need a bit of a laugh on here and I found this whilst lurking on the 12+ TTC thread.

I'm not sure if the link works as I'm a bit of a luddite but I certainly found myself nodding in agreement!

Haven't been able to catch up as I've been out tonight (discussing ttc half the time with lovely friend who has been ttc for a year with 2 m/cs), just wanted to send my love to jacobsmum and lildevil

I've been Ssing all day feeling a bit icky and dizzy but I think just wind from all the veg I've been eating!! FF says af due tomorrow so it's probably her waiting in the wings! I have my mooncup in my handbag just in case (in fact I pulled it out yesterday in the queue at M&S thinking it was a little packaway reusable bag :rotfl::rotfl:)

I'm not going to poas tomorrow, the bfn must've upset me more than I thought on Sat as I was a tearful grumpy mare which is really not like me. I have to do a presentation to some bigwigs at work tomorrow and I don't want to have that on my mind! I also want to wait til DH can be around so if the witch hasn't got me by sat I'll do it then!

Perhaps a washable ones? I think you can make them yourself if you have time. If you can make many out of your old clothes etc, then you can afford to throw them away if you don't want to wash them.

I never tried them, but I heard one can wash them in the shower (with feet);)
