shazrobo I think it might actually be over 35 not 30 sorry to scare you but that is naturally not with any medical help iyswim. Also apparently if you have a BMI over 30 the chance goes up, mines 29 and going down so I guess I have less chance of twins than I did a year ago, although I'm a year older. And if you have had them before you are more likely to have them again, sorry, Doesnt mean you will though and at least you know what you are letting yourself in for this time. I used to visit a lady with twins once a week to help her out and she literally had no sleep for 3 months as they had opposite sleeping patterns, one slept whilst one fed etc She is the person who told me the chance increases over 30. The only person I know who was young with twins was taking fertility drugs, its much less common to happen naturally.

Courgette I still consider myself ttc otherwise I'd be using contraception, I'm just trying to take some of the stress out of it, I personnally believe that the stress is the biggest problem. If I could give up work or take a few months off I think it would be a big help and I'm seriously considering it.

Our new mattress arrived today so we will have to try it out later lol My normal cycle is 35 days and since it can take upto 6-7 weeks for my period to return it is going to be very hard to work out when to test, I think I'll just have to watch out for symptoms this time.

  • money angel 22: keeping everything crossed for you here.

I also recommend the giving of blood; I've always taken the opportunity to donate and i'm just the boring common blood type!

    Evening all.

Hugs to all those who need it.

Well, i'm on CD5 and NSD3 (non smoking day lol) Days 1 & 2 were fine but today was awful. I'm getting through it though by telling myself it's not for me, it's for our (future) baby. I'm proud to say a cigarette has not passed my lips since Sunday at 9am - not even one drag :j (yayyy me!) I've been smoking 15 years, or to put it into perspective, half my life  and never wanted to give up - till now. I've a long way to go, I know but hopefully i'll manage it. I don't want to be going cold turkey once i'm PG (am using patches at the moment)

In other news, we need to BD from Saturday - but we're staying at my best friends house on Friday & Sat night, & I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that. Saying that, knowing them, they'll be banging on the door saying "is it in yet" lmao. I sometimes think they want us to have a baby more than we do! Every time i'm on the phone to my best friend, her husband shouts through "is she up the duff yet?":rotfl: Love them both to bits.

After last months non result (we hit 3 out of the 4 days) I don't really want to be wasting a day!

Anyway, dinners done so i'm off but sticky babydust and lots of PMA vibes to everyone

    SK x

Edited to add: Congratulations on your TLP Moneyangel
After 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!
  • Congrats moneyangel...hope there's lots more bfp this month :T
Merfe - I also have 2 children already, "one of each" also - the grief we get off family for saying we would like one more to complete the family - they think we are mad!
We've been trying since Jan with no luck - I am wary that with each month we dont suceed the age gap is getting wider and wider, therefore I have set myself the goal of xmas - if we haven't got out BFP by then we will seriously have to discuss no longer trying for a third baby.

Good luck to everyone this month!

Congrats Moneyangel:T the first of november's. lets hope it's the first of many! Hope you have a happy healthy next 8 months!
  • Well done moneyangel hope it turns into a BFP!

I can understand not wanting to test Courgette and get an early mc, as this is what happened to me as it felt like a normal AF (bleeding and pain wise) but I knew that it was more than that . . Also understand re teaching as I am a full time trainer for adults (work based stuff) and it is exhausting and when I was briefly pg (sob, sob!) I was done in by 8 o'oclock but having said that it is the most rewarding job I've ever had.

Anyway I am officially ttc again not just bding without stuff, tried that for a couple of cycles and nothing then bded following a positive opk and got bfp so I think thats what I'll do this time. As I'm not sure what my cycle is going to do I'll probably start far too early (not very mse!) but I think I need my mind focused on getting back to that BFP.
