Merfe what a really nice post. I have one child who is now 12 and have got re married in october and now trying for a child with my new DH. I got caught the first time as a compelete accident and my first hubby left me because of it. He never wanted children and our marriage paid the price. Now at age 36 I have met my soul mate and would dearly love to be blessed with another child.
My day off today and going to met a friend for a cuppa who was ttc for 8 months before her beautiful son came along. It somehow makes me feel better to know that I am not the only one ttc and that things aren't happening AT THE MOMENT.
Still not sleeping as still having the twin dreams...........
Huge Hugs and baby dust to all you wonderful ladies xoxoIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Ummmm.... what was I going to say:o
Oh yes... sorry AF got you Maddie

Going to my friends as its her bday tomorrow so I'm going to get some yummy cakes:D
Full day of work tomorrow as I'm putting some of my jewellery in an exhibition. They need it at the weekend:eek: And I've got a xmas fair in a few weeks:eek:

Becs I just hope its reassuring for people like yourself to know that it can just happen even when you have been trying so long.
I just sometimes feel people dont understand especially family, they think you should just be happy with the 2 you have (one of each so apparently no reason to try for more) and I am but that doesnt stop me thinking one more would complete the family. Nothing takes away that little ache you feel once you decide you would like a baby. Nothing else will fill that whole.
smartie I am the same and would like to thank everyone that is giving blood, OH does since I had a blood transfusion and he struggles with it everytime since he nearly passes out with the sight of blood or needles but he does it anyway, I wish I could too.
tinkwings congrats on finding your soulmate, hope it works out for you soon, twins are alot more common once your over 30 so you never know, you might be blessed lol not very MSE since you'll need 2 of everything lol.0 -
i didnt know twins were more common when your over 30. i had my twins at 23 years old, please god, just one please when and if i do get pregnant againenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0

I'd hazard a guess Shazrobo that it's because the rate of ivf is much higher over 30 so I should think that accounts for it.0

thanks for putting my mind at rest becs. i love my twin sons now aged 14, but it has been extra hard bringing them both up, and as they both have disabilities, an extra challengeenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0

Afternoon all! Hope everyone is feeling a bit better today, there seem to be lots with colds and bugs
hopefully you'll all be back to yourselves very soon!
Had a long chat with DH yesterday about bding, I was worried as its been 4 weeks since my m/c and he hasn't wanted to come near me, plus to make it worse when I was pg I didn't want to dtd as I felt so awful and fat! So all in all its been a bl**dy long time!! He was quite honest and said he was a little worried about me wanting to get pg so quickly again, and thought it best we wait a little longer until we try again (he knows me better than I do!) plus he said he's a bit nervous as its been so long! It'll be like the 1st time again! I'm glad he was honest, so we've promised we are going to start "dating" again, 1st date is on saturday! I can't wait! So am feeling a lot happier today and have a very PMA and looking forward to the future! Can't stop that niggle in the back of mind though saying "i want a baby!"

we may dtd tonight if i feel up to it!!thats all i got to say on the ttc front!0 -
Evening all
Hugs to those who need them and otherwise all round good cheer
Interesting to read how many of us there are on this thread who aren't actually ttc just bding without contraception  Thought it was just me! If this cycle is as short as last time AF is due on Saturday but as last time was freakishly short I've decided to not test until the end of November or even longer if I can hold out. Have decided that I'd rather think I'm having a late, heavy AF than know I'm having an early mc.
I've been a bit worried about coping with work and the first trimester or, heaven forbid, another mc. I've just been so tired this week, I have to keep reminding myself that I still have a virus but truth is I have never had a job that wears me out the way teaching does (didn't train until I was 30) and juggling the two scares me. I also had the awful realistion that I wouldn't be that far of maternity leave if I hadn't mc'ed.
Hey ho, I know I'll never look back and be glad I saved my energy for year9 rather than ttc but it still feels a bit daunting

Hello everyone,
sorry i havent been around much recently but i just moved house 2 weeks ago and have been busy nesting! lol...

I stuck with taking all my B vitamins this month as well as folic acid, omega 3 and vit C etc....and if you remebre I ovulated 3 days earlier....i was expecting AF tomorrow so for the last few days i have been looking for symptoms...but there havent been any, other than being a bit more tired in the evenings...
I really didnt expect any good news this month but something was telling me to test and i took a HPT this morning and guess what....a TLP!!!!
Im due to go to docs for blood test results this week so i will get them to confirm but even though it was faint it was definetely there!!!
I cant believe it....!!!!!!! Hope its sticky this time!
