Hi all, have been here and thinking about you all (esp Sir Monster- huge ((hugs)) to you honey)
I seem to be having an anovulatory cycle so have just been lurking as have nothing to add bar a whole lot of confusion (on CD24 and not ov'd and have no idea whats happening now! Think it was ibuprofen that screwed it up but not 100% sure on that.)
Have booked an appointment to go and give blood again as have been ineligible due to travelling or have been in my 2ww for the last 8 months! So at least someone will get some benefit from my body being screwy this month (I'm O neg too so I'm especially valuable) This one will put me up to 10 donations I hope, and I might see if I can [STRIKE]guilt trip[/STRIKE] persuade some guys at work to come too
Love and hugs to you all, and lots of sticky babydust xxNever argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.0 -
elliebobs I remember roper opening too...and I was always more of a Quinceys girl on a student night!!! Stayed right away from Squires though. Although, we did frequent Warehouse lots (it's meant to be closing down). I was at UCLAN 2000 - 2003, I took a year out after college to get my life in order (HUGE family problems).
Not very ttc related but I'm properly down in the dumps today because my lesson obs was a bit rubbish! Gutted.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Hi Everyone, just thought I would pop in and say Hi! Not having a good week, don't know whether its this cold weather or what, also had my flu jab and swine flu jab and have felt too rough to BD even tho by my calculations I should have been ovulatin (altho my pee sticks show nothing lol) so I feel abit like I have let myself down. O well I will keep plodding on! Also trying the Paul Mkenna 'I can make you thin' book which has been interesting, anything to help me shed afew pounds! Hope everyone is well, I think I am going to give that recipe a go Scotsgirl!! Sounds delicious! lol. Speak soon xx0

Hi Bitzer, good on you for giving blood. I've only managed twice so far - used to live near a centre but moved not long after getting into the habit. However I emailed to ask if I still could if I'm TTC and they recommended not to - although perhaps its alright if your in the first 2 weeks?
On another note, me and OH are still officially just not using contraception, rather than 'trying', but at the same time I'm measuring my BBT and am about to start using OV sticks  My intentions are hard to explain (!) eg at least i'll be able to see whether we are hitting the fertile days so that I don't worry too much if we don't get pg. I think I just need to feel like I'm doing something positive towards TTC (other than BDing of course!)Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Evening lovely ladies.... Hectic weekend, and work is just stupidly busy, so have only just had the chance to catch up. Sorry to hear people are feeling poorly, or have been caught by AF. Hugs to all, and special hugs to sir monster - you're doing very well with the PMA, but I know how hard it is, and how up and down you're bound to be feeling.
bitzer - I've got the same problem as you - I've been waiting to get my next blood donation badge (for 25 pints!) for about two years, but haven't been able to donate due to travelling to dodgy places, and then getting horrendously anaemic with my first m/c. They probably think I've given up. But my blood is bog-standard and ordinary, so they're not going to be nearly as bothered getting to my veins as to yours...!!!
Your recipes look yummy, but I won't share one of mine at the moment, if it's okay with you.... Normally I'm a pretty good cook (although I say it myself), but in the last two weeks, I've managed to burn both pasta and sprouts, by turning the ring on and forgetting to put in the hot water from the kettle, and then yesterday was the last straw - managed to make thai green curry without any green curry paste in it - doh!

Hi kitkat, this made me chuckle :rotfl:
I know you can diet and eat scones etc but it was just the two contrasting sentencesProud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
morning everyone,
We are just bd without contraception, no stress no timings etc, it seems to work for us. It got a bit much with my first when nothing had happened for a couple of years so much so we decided to stop and try later on but continued to not use contraception and it happened when we least expected, the doctor and midwife were not concerned when I mentioned it took over 3 years to conceive.
From my previous experience I was not overly concerned about contraception and went on to concieve my 2nd the first time we bd without contraception after having DD, so I learnt my lesson, I did not plan to have them so close together but wouldnt change it for the world.
Lesson learnt we were very careful for a couple of years till we felt ready to try again, now for number 3 (its a magic number), 2 MCs later and we are still trying for number 3. I fully expect it to take about 6 months ish but if it goes wrong again I dont think OH will try anymore and personally there will come a point when the other 2 are so much older that I wont want to go through the whole thing from the beginning again so its probably the last chance for us this time. Nothing like pressure lol
I fully appreciated I am very lucky to have the 2 I do. I know there are people here who are trying for their first and I just want you to know I was there with my first too and so there is hope and also I feel the same now trying for this one (infact more worrying because of previous mc) as I did for my first, like its never gonna happen and is totally out of my control.
Its not a very PMA today is it, back to work next week but I might be able to change my hours and do less evenings yeah.0 -
Hi Merfe,
what a nice post, as one of the ones still trying for their first I know it is hard to see it from the point of view of someone with Children already. Sometimes we need reminding how important a child is to all of us whether we already have them or not.
I'm at home poorly today, have an upset tummy and feeling very cold and yuck! Have thrown up 3 times already this morning. Wouldn't mind if it were for the right reasons but not! Af officially due any time from now until fri 13th! Fri 13th would be based on my longest 12 day lp. I'm 10 dpo today. I did test yesterday, not because I thought I might be pg but just because we've been trying for 2 years and I wanted to check to see if we were actually ever conceiving and my shorter lp causing issues. Obviously it was a BFN!0
