Trying For a Baby part 4

thanks for your kind words, i think because i've known our family history i was never really someone who wanted children (talked myself out of them by the time i was 16). that's why i feel so strange now that we've decided to TTC, half of me can't believe just how much i do really want a little one0

I guess any genetic TTC issues would have been wiped out by now!
I'm loving the list. Is there a way I can say I've not had any m/cs without looking like I'm boasting?
I had another thought.....fertility friend have brought in a referral program, whereby you get VIP day for referring peeps. It would be good to set up a scheme whereby we can take it in turn to refer new peeps - but I'm not sure if we can do that outside the MSE referral board (perhaps its ok as there is no actual cash involved?). This is what you get;
5 Days Free Per New Member: For a limited time we have extended the referral program. You will receive 5 free days per new member that you refer through this program.
30 Days Free on purchase: If your friend decides to purchase a membership later on you will both receive 30 free days.Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
That's a good idea Maddie and very MSE! Think I'd have to refer everyone on this thread to have enough free membership and still not have enough! :rotfl:
Not sure about the no m/c thing, I guess if there's nothing by our names then it kinda speaks for itself. Certainly don't think it's boasting though, (Maybe shot down in flames here but being honest about how I feel!) there are times when I wish I could have m/c by the side of my name. It would at least be some kind of hope for me. It's hard to keep that after nearly 3 years of nothing. I kind of see having a baby as a ladder process and I guess for me a bfp is the first rung. If I weren't to make it beyond that I'd hope that I would have the courage to get back on and try and get to the next rung if that makes any sense without meaning to trivialise what any of some of you have been through or are going through.0 -
I completely understand becs, although its not how I feel at the mo.
To me it seems those who have miscarried have in a sense reached the next stage in the TTC journey, but that is a stage that you can skip and hopefully I will.
At the mo I don't feel -ive about not having a BFP yet, as at least I haven't had any miscarriages. However this is after only a relatively short time of trying and with no fertility issues that I'm aware of.
ETA - I'll have a think about how to manage FF referrals :think:Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
I think I used to be like that Maddie, it's been that long I really don't think I can actually remember! I certainly hope if I do get the bfp that I will get past that rung but I think because nearly everyone I know with children now has been through m/c I guess I now don't see pg as the next natural progression from a bfp which is really sad.0

Hi Maddie I've added the link on the list but how do you do it so it's the nice neat "here" link instead of the one I have done?0
-
To do the special links;
- go to advanced mode
- type the word "here" or whatever and highlight
- clink the hyperlink button (looks like Earth with a link next to it)
- put the web address you want to link to in the 2nd box
becs - you need to post below me in the referral thread too, then you can be next (ok its only 5 days but hey!)Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Thanks Maddie that's done!
I've still got loads left on my vip membership as I bought it so hoping I won't need to increase it again!0 -
RIght time for bed now!0
