I think i have you all beaten i have 16 tests in the house, but only because i got some with the thermometer and pre seed that i ordered.

Lemon Tree - PMA is "Positive Mental Attitude". Sometimes you have loads of it, and sometimes it just ups and leaves you (mostly on day 1 of AF lol)

Dusty - I start using OPKs on CD10, but if you're not sure of your cycle length, best to use from when your AF ends. And also, its best to use afternoon pee, as you tend to OV in the afternoon. But try to not drink anything for about 4 hours before you POAS. I find FF a bit confusing, I think I prefer MMC (My Monthly Cycle)

Ok, so please can the lucky ladies who have had their BFPs tell us what they did that particular month different to what they usually did. What do you think helped to get the BFP?

    Many thanks :)

It sounds a cliche but I stopped trying! I didn't come in here for a few weeks, or on the other ttc/baby sites. I didn't look for ovulation signs etc. I stopped thinking about anything to do with babies and ttc (xmas planning helped keep my mind busy lol). I just enjoyed the xmas period with my friends and family, and drunk lots of wine.
Good luck to you all xxx

    thanks for the explanation.
I think at the moment i'm trying to project a PMA at work so much that by the time i get home i just can't do it any more and the real me is coming out. Hopefully things will be a little better after tomorrow as i have my 'justify your job' interview tomorrow, so once that's over with i can try and forget about it all until we hear what the plans for us all are.
  • Its funny, but last time I conceived in 1 cycle, and I made DH eat loads of almonds and brazil nuts (high in zinc)

confuzzled when should I test? Af due 7th (tomorrow) ??
Depends how long you think you can wait & how regular your cycles are:)If AF due tomorrow and you're impatient then hold out til Saturday just to make sure, but if your cycles vary try and wait til at least Monday..if you can;) Fingers crossed xx

How odd about 1st time you conceived & the brazil nuts...might just have to go and buy Mozza's stash for DH:rotfl:
Weird goings on here. CD10 and my boobs hurt. Yesterday had a sharp pain in my right side and ewcm. Temp stayed fairly constant but its so cold here that its hard to know what's going on. Am I Oving a little early? If so, unless some of OHs little swimmers stayed around from the weekend, there will be no bfp this month - he's snowed in elsewhere. Also woke up feeling very, very sick this morning so maybe something has thrown me out of whack.
Sounds like OV to me:) Hopefully some swimmers have stuck around:) x

    Hi ladies
I posted the other day about my progesterone levels being low and being on a 100+ day cycle. Well still waiting for blood tests to come back to see if dr needs to refer me to the hospital after 12mths ttc - OH insisted a take a pg test today "just to check" - I was really apprehensive about it as I now I would be devestated when it turned up BFN (even though I expected it). Anyway, to cut a long story short ..12 mths on and I have finallty got my BFP.
Its very early days and I am very nervous (despite this being number 3).
Hope you all get your BFPs soon and lots of sticky dust to those with theirs already xxxx

ps - hope you don't mind me posting!
CONGRATS ethelsmum:j:j:j How far along do you think you are??? Must be hard to guess at if your cycle has been over 100 days:eek: Have a happy & healthy pregnancy xxx

Can you change mine to 29th Jan, please?

Am currently on day 23, having been bding every day up until cd 21 as OH went away, am feeling extremely hormonal am pretty sure its PMT though boobs are sore too , I did a test on cd21 it was obv bfn as it was far to early to tell. was just wondering whens the earliest I can test? I have the ebay cheapy tests? Sorry to just butt in, I have a habit of doing that. :o am just desperate to know.... I guess I have been completely nieve and didnt realise how hard it would be. :o
with your longest cycle being 36 days I'd wait until then at least, annoying I know but better to get an accurate result than stressing about it toomuch. Plus it means you can test for me seeing as AF is due round that time for me:) I'm holding out til Feb coz of DHs bday:D

In that case.......................I QUIT:rotfl::rotfl:I did the same but didn't work for me...you win some you lose some eh? :)
Once I hit the 12month mark I think I'll have a few months break and then start again with avengeance, and hopefully talk DH into getting tested...not gonna be easy though!!

Lemon Tree hope all goes well with your interview, those kind of interviews are just mean! Your just doing your managers job for them imho:mad:
Hope all goes well anyway xx

Well I'm deffo OVing...my guts are being mean and having me dashing to the loo every half hour...wouldn't mind so much but I get the same when AF turns up:mad: Ho hum....at least its definite proof I'm oving :rotfl:
