Hi all, just popping out of lurkerdom to say congrats to the bfps and ((hugs)) to those having a rough time and :hello: to those I've not seen in a while

Not much going on here ttc-wise, think I ov'd a few days ago and AF is due slapbang in the middle of my holiday, so I shan't be testing, I'll just wait for her. Can't see myself POAS in the chalet to be honest...

I'm so sorry, katyj, I meant to reply to you too. I know how you feel - my sister's baby was due three weeks before my first would have been born, and I found it incredibly hard to deal with. Really didn't want to tell her about my mc, as I didn't want to spoil the excitement about her pregnancy, or give her anything else to worry about. But I'm glad I did tell her, as it meant that if I did get upset, she'd at least understand why. I now have a beautiful new niece to play with, who is gorgeous.

So saying that, it's could be a more difficult situation regarding telling your work colleague, if you don't want people at work to know that you're trying. If you are able to mention it, I'm sure it's a good idea though. Like LilDevil says, I'm sure she'll understand and be as tactful as she can. Biggest hugs. xxx

Hi guys. I FINALLY got home 2 hours and 10 mins after I set off for work!!! NIGHTMARE!! They closed school but forgot to call anyone in my department!!! I'm NOT happy!

I feel really sick today as well...far to hot. But I'm cold at the same time....very odd.

I don't feel ill. I'm just confused I think. I do have a sore throat though...still. At least I have a day off to rest and hopefully fend off illness.

Laura how are you feeling today?

Well I bit the bullet and told my boss today. I woke up feeling rough this morning, and I just can't be bothered with having to make up excuses if I can't make it into work on occasion.

I also warned him that I may work from home tomorrow as just can't face battling in through the snow which is allegedly on its way. Standing for hours on a freezing train platform is not what I need at the moment!

He was really cool. Congratulated me and said no worries.

I feel better now that he knows, even though I didn't want to tell anyone at work until the 12 week mark. At least now I may get a bit of sympathy if I am ill and need to work from home!

Big hugs to Laura and Penny, got my fingers crossed here that those beans are hanging on in there.

Just spoke to my GP about my plans for TTC. He wants me to go in and get my BP checked and is going to get in touch with the haematologist (sp?) I saw when I had my blood clot to check no issues, but says there's no reason not to start trying right away :j We are pretty sure my blood clot was caused by the contraceptive pill (grrrr!) so there's a small possiblity that pregnancy hormones might trigger another one, but it's just something they'll have to monitor if I do manage to get pg. But worrying about that now is trying to run before I can walk - for the moment I just need to concentrate on getting my BFP

Aww twinklie, what a nightmare morning for you. Hope you feel better soon. I'm so glad I work from home and didn't have to go out in the cold this morning. Though I must stop playing about on the internet and get on with some work...

Sleepytiger - I agree with some of the already said posts. Sometimes you have to think of yourself and do whats right for you and DH. If this is something you want to do then go for it. (hope thats sounds ok not very good with words)

Katyj - Hang in there babe. My friend is due to give birth in 6 wks. She conceived around the time of my wedding and is due before my birthday. Was gutted when I found out esp cos everyone was commenting "that should or could have been you" we'll all get our turn I know it!!

Afternoon everyone.
I really cant thank you all enough for your kind messages, you are all wonderful.

MV- im not sure how im feeling to be honest, suppose just expecting the worse but then i keep telling myself that they will not be able to see much if they scan tomorrow.
Well i was meant to be going into work today but phoned in sick this morning and i had a lot off bleeding last night and felt a bit sick.

Im hoping for some snow tonight, because then OH wont go to work and he can come with me to the hospital but then i dont want snow because it will be a nightmare to drive to the hospital!
