Hello BigBird... another Devon chick I see;)

Whereabouts do you be??? (Proper devonshire I be:rotfl:)

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone :)

smartie I'm just south of Exeter. Whereabouts are you? I'm not proper Devonshire as I moved here about 7 years ago (so probably still a grockle!:p), but DH is Devon born and bred. I'm from St Helens originally.

Did any of you speak to your GP when you decided to start TTC? I'm not sure whether I should, or wait a while til something happens (or doesn't). Kind of feel like maybe I'd just be wasting his time at this stage.

Sorry to hear about those of you who have MCd. It's all very exciting for me at the moment but I'm sure if/when I get a bfp I'm going to be a nervous wreck having read about all the things that can go wrong. Ignorance was indeed bliss... :o

  • I didn't see my GP prior to ttc BB. I only saw her last week for the first time.

Unless you have any specific medical issues I'd say there's no point going to visit your Dr. I'd echo what the others have said, take folic acid (or even better a pregnancy multi-vit) and eat well

    Good luck!

ETA: I'm 6+4 now and still haven't seen my Dr although I have seen the midwife - you have to be virtually dead to get to see a Dr round here! (Leeds, since you ask ;) )
    Updating soon...
