Thanks Pen, so I assume the money gets deducted as they come? I like the idea of doing a blankie for my bean:) I bought a knitting book a while ago and DS' Godmum is putting it to better use than I did-I didnt handle two needles very well.
Smartie You're funny hun and its why we love you:) Of course Ive never sent a package in the UK before so you might have to educate me :o

Im feeling really yuck tonight-but I decluttered, cleaned and organised my desk tonight and I even have DS' school picture up.

If the subscription works the same way as The Art of Knitting, then they send you 4 mags each month and take out the payment (AoK is about £12 per month) - you may even get folders at random intervals to put them all in - they usually cost extra though!

Not a lot going on here at the mo CD16 and according to MMC, I'm ovulating today, so at 4am we were getting jiggy - DH is on anti-depressants so it takes a bit longer than normal these days (:D), but it was a bit stressful as we have DSD and her mate staying with us, so we were trying not to make any noise :o

No new years resolutions for me really, will be trying my best to stick to Weightwatchers as I put on nearly 5 stone in 2005 (bullying and harrassment at work ) and still haven't managed to shift it.

We live in Oxfordshire, even though I only work about 5 miles from home it can often take me over an hour to get there (2 buses each way), and if they change the route (like they're planning), it may even be 3 buses

Hi everyone, have liked reading about what you all do. Im a student at uni, doing a degree in psychology and counselling. In my first year and loving it. Don't like the comute through. Spend over three hours four days a week traveling. It will be worth it through.

aww cool, never really heard anything about cheshire before, but then i suppose dont know about anywhere other then dorset!:rotfl:

I am so embarrassed to confess I just had to look at a map of the English counties to check exactly where Dorset is :o I get Dorset and Somerset mixed up. I really should know better as SIL is from Bournemouth (which I thought was in Sussex :o:o:o) and they (my bro and SIL) are in Dorset for the Christmas break :o

    (((Maddie))) sorry luv xx
  • Next time, maddie, fingers crossed.

  • Hello All

Lots of chat about work etc - makes me think this will be my first full week back at work since end nov as had 2wks annual leave then was back for a few days then sick then back then some annual leave then done a few days over xmas - not looking forward to it as feeling pretty grot with this cold I have.

I am 29 and work as a nurse do mon-fri 8-4 and work about 6miles from home takes me 15-30mins to get to work and about 20mins to get home depends on traffic and roadworks they are always digging up a road somewhere!

I am in east midlands but orginally from sussex, house prices are much cheaper here and have a lovely 4 bed house for price of a one bed flat where we were in sussex, mind you have a mega mortgage we are trying to pay off extra on as and when.

Well on the TTC front I still have no AF which is good and will think about retesting on tuesday as that will be day 41 since first day of last AF and usually 35 days but can be anything up to 40days.

I have the deepest respect for nurses after seeing DHs grandad so ill! I have no idea how you can go to work and not spend the day heartbroken!! Although saying that DHs grandads main nurse did have a cry when he'd gone:)
Where in the East Mids are you?! I'm in Derby(originally from Manchester):D

  • Hello confuzzled I am in leicestershire, I work with children.

Being a nurse is hard work but the most rewarding job ever I know work with well children but still deal with some upsetting situations but knowing you are making in the tiniest bit of difference is rewarding.

I also do a bit of babysitting and weekend nanny work - not a huge amount but enough to top up salary and love doing this but couldnt do it full time as love my full time job.

When I have a baby I will go back to work not just because we need the money but because its a job I love and would def work part time.

    Hi all!

Well, I am 28 and before I became a mummy I was a nightclub Manager for about 6 years, and then did a bit of freelance web design for a couple of years... But now I am a full time mum & housewife :D
And I love every bit of it!

I'm originally from Manchester, but I moved to Wigan with my other half almost 2 years ago. I left all my friends & family in Manchester, but I still visit them regularly.
Been a bit hard "fitting in" around here though. I think we stick out like a sore thumb :D
But hey ho, it is nice & quiet (where we are anyway) and I do think it's a better place to raise our daughter in (!?). We'll see ;)

So yeah, that's me. DD will be 2 next month & this month will be our 6th Month TTC No.2.

    Thanks for listening :D

    xx
