  • I cant believe I commute to Windsor everyday too...I must be tapped!

I keep thinking though that (fingers crossed) I'll only be there for the next few months and then I'll be forced to stop being a lazy mare and do something else!

gratefulforhelp; I'm from Devon too and still have loads of family there; I manage to make it own at least once a year. From glorious Newton Abott! and went to school in Crediton. Is that anywhere near you???

miss.bint; you;re in the next town to me! I think there are a few north westies on this board.

bigbird; your story was exactly the same as mine was! We started last June (ish) and it was exciting and you do get to grips soon enough with how you 'work'. I got pregnant in October but sadly miscarried in December. The physical effects of the M/C are still evident but once they go then I'll be back in the race so to speak. We have a holiday booked for the end of January so I'm figuring mid February. OH can't wait, not least because at least he will get some! been sadly lacking in that department for a number of weeks.

Having v lazy Sunday afternoon; OH left at 6am to do energetic things in the Lakes with the promise that I would finish the decorating; here I am sat on the sofa in my PJ's watching Doctor Who and eating crumpets instead! Ha ha
  • oh btw Bigbird, I was shamefully ignorant of how my own body works too..sex education in the 1980's obv wasn't up to much!!

You learn an AWFUL lot on here, you'll be an expert in no time! :D

Becs one of my best friends moved to Cambridge year before last and absolutely loves it there. Mind you she was living in a dingy flat in Brixton prior to that! We love visiting her and her fella there...so many nice pubs and resturants to visit.

MV we're about 40 minutes from Cambridge. We're only 10 minutes from Peterborough, whilst pboro is not fantatstic it has all the shops that we need (not really a shopping kind of a girl so john lewis and m & s usually do me!) so we rarely go to Cambridge. It is a lovely place but having worked in it for 12 years and having to battle in with the traffic everyday it has kind of spoiled it for me.
I love York for shopping (can't remember who said they lived in York!) and it's only just over an hour on the train from us so definately my preferred destination. DH and I would love to be able to move to Helmsley area one day. I'm a country girl so do love living in the country but not far from a good town or city.

Sammy Im in the Bexley borough too:) Just sent you a PM.
Twinklie Im glad you've got it sorted now, we did the same for a while-thought it would be better to wait until we get married...but thats taking so long to happen-I feel like my dad is never going to make it over here. DF's mum called the other day to let us know that she and SIL and new niece whom we've not yet met (I think she's about 10 months now) will be coming over in July because they dont want to be in the country for the soccer world cup. I dont blame them because if I were still there Id be getting out. But its good for my dad because he's in the safari business and there'll be loads of bookings as people will want to do the african thing in between the soccer. Thing is DF wants to keep bean from his family until his mum arrive:eek:I dont think I WANT to keep it off fb that long.
Becs its got nothing to do with the speed of the thread:DI cant rub off on you if I dont spent time with you. Ive been with you for 10 months-and all the girls over there are getting ready to leave so I figure I might as well just wait here for you all to come with;)
ETA:Gettingthereslowly I'm doing the same thing wit the food. Ive spent loads of time over the last few days online "getting organised"
