Dorset is lovely..I used to go there on holidays as a child!
I love our flat though and would be so sad to leave it...we've worked our ar*es off doing it up..it was a total slum when I bought it 4 years ago, and it's still not finished, but is getting there.
If only we could take the flat with usMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
MV - I help people improve their customer service skills. I really enjoy it to be honest it is the best job I have ever had and to make it better it is my own company, so I can pretty much pick and choose when I work, I have had the last couple of weeks off with all the stress of my little bean and my many hospital visits but I am not answerable to anyone so I can do it. I do approx 30-35 hours a week, no commuting and can work in the evenings/weekends if I want. My husband works shift of 4 on and 8 off so I work when he is in work and very few hours when he is off.0

ooo MV you'll have to pop me a PM, we were in Streatham when I first moved here-DS was a year old and the only place I could take him was the common. Then we moved to Lewisham and there were more playgropus and bits-where we are now, you wouldnt believe it was London at all.0

Penny that sounds ideal...I'd love to do something like that. I reckon 2010 will be the year I stop dragging myself miles everyday to a stressful job, and start doing something more convenient to my life...it's all about balance isn't it?
Polka - that is something I am really worried about..that there just isnt really anywhere to go around here. We are close to Dulwich though which is lovely, I guess I'm just going to have to be creative! Just wish some of my friends were doing the baby thing too...I seem to be the only one of my group doing it, and they're all mid 30's!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

It is. I used to be very career driven but reliased life is not all about working. I enjoy my work but I like to be less stressed and be able to do things when I want/mood takes me, rather than having to beg holidays and half days off.
Dont get me wrong the fact that I was career driven and DH job means that financially we are comfortable and have no concerns on that front for when we have our longed for baby.0 -

You sound so much like me Penny...I've worked hard all the way through and done silly hours/trips away etc, but now its time for a new challenge, and ultimately a far more rewarding oneMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
