Trying For a Baby part 4

When I was in hospital having DD, there was a woman who was about 47,48. I'm sure she had her baby on her oldest son's 30th birthday
Also, there is a thing in my family about us sharing birthdays. I share mine with my niece, cousin and uncle. DD shares hers with another cousin.
Anyway, time to make dinner I think. The boys will be looking for a lift soon as well. Thank for cheering me up

Thanks Sammy..yes I tested very early (naughty!) it was about 4 days before my AF was due, when I got my TLP with a First Response test.
AF didn't show up on Xmas Day, so I'm now 8 days late..my periods are like clockwork. I've done a ton of tests too, including 2 of the clearblue digital ones which tell you roughly how far along you are.
The only symptoms I've really had apart from the crampy pains (which I was convinced over Xmas were AF on its way), was some spotting exactly a week after we'd BD'd when I was ov'ing..that went on for 2 days but it didnt look like regular period blood, so I'm thinking it must have been an implantation bleed.
The tiredness is the main thing at the moment. By about 9pm i'm on my knees with tiredness!
You're so right about a job being for money..that's the only reason I go to work! I've never really been the career-type!

Sadly Lauralou. We were silly and broody...and accidently on purpose forgot to use anything. We'd managed if it happened but it wouldn't be that nice - especially as I'd have to deal with everything alone....not good! But I guess loads of people do that.
Also, I'd like to not go back to work afterwards...which would be impossible if DH was still doing PhD! All if ands or buts at the mo. We totally won't hold out till 2011 though. We are rubbish!
I've got mixed emotions. We both REALLY want one, as everyone says there is never a good time etc. BUT, living away from each other would really NOT be ideal! I don't know...am I being spoilt brat-ish about my feelings here?
*delurks to stick her oar in*
Twinkle I agree fully that living apart and having a small person wouldn't be the most fun imaginable but..... (deep breath as she really sticks her nose in) does it really have to be like that? As in, couldn't you flog your house and move to where DH is? I know there's lots to do on it, but that could be someone else's problem. (Really goes for it now...) I'm guessing there's not that many Twinkles in the world with a husband doing a PhD and who are on M4 (as in I spotted you on TES) (I'm Purple Aubergine by the way, I clearly have a thing for veg) and the fact that you post on here quite a bit shows that you reaaaaally want this and three years is a long time to wait. I just mean we regret what we don't do not what we do. I'm really sorry, don't mean to offend. Not sure what the point of that was, it's no one else's business I know but there's always a reason to not have a baby right now (you'll be approaching threashold on your current timescale and you might struggle getting evidence together for UPS if you're on mat leave)
I'm gonna shut up, really wasn't my intention to p!ss you off if I have, I'll butt out xxxxUpdating soon...0 -
Hi, ssl so sorry you have had a terrible time, fingers crossed for flybabies.
twinkle I thought I was having DD1 in the most perfect of circumstances, then XH did a flit when she was less than 3 months old. You just have to roll with it.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
twinkle - I'm with courgette and grateful on this one. My OH lives 200 miles away. He is here every weekend. He has been trying to get a job here for about 1 1/2 years but no luck. At my age, we just cant afford to hang about. I own a small 2 bed bungalow and have a 16 year old DD. Reading about my circumstances makes me sound completely mad, but I know its the right thing to do. (((hugs)))0

I came aross quite a few cases like this when I had my DS, people who had been in relationships years then split once a baby came along si it does show that you just don't know what's around the corner.
The other thing Twinkle is that you could always move in with DH once you are on Mat Leave if selling your house really isn't possible, babies don't take up much space. If you decide to relocate, there are plenty of Secondary Science jobs about
